What are you going to do if you want a falafel? Its definately a rarity in Whitehorse with the only middle eastern restaurant being closed. That said some other restaurants have given it a try but frankly without success. As a food cart, Faladi, is one of the better choices, the other cart being hotdogs, so falafels are a nice healthy choice. That said I had tried it last year and unfortunately it was horrible. The oil must not have been hot enough, the falafels were just not right, bland with a weird after taste and the sauce choices were poor with many being store bought and the garlic sauce just nasty. That was last year.
This year, had to try again at the Fireweed Market at Shipyards Park and things are better. The portion is good, the flavour improved as are the sauces, so yes the falafels are now much better; definately a good falafel, not outstanding.
There are now more choices in the ever increasing Food cart/wagon/trucks in town which is a great for the city. I encourage you to give them all a try.
