For a free attraction, this is pretty amazing. The short film in the tent is a must see.
We learned a great deal about travel on the Yukon river back in the gold rush days. It’s a great location and makes for an enjoyable couple of hours. My tax dollars well spent. Afterwards you can walk the boardwalk along the Yukon river...very nice.

What an amazing stern wheeler! One could almost hear the voices from the past as we toured the decks. If only its walls could speak. The site where this ship is dry docked is really impressive with the beautiful surrounding view and the park alongside it allowed for an enjoyable picnic. You will be very impressed with this tour as every visitor will get a taste of the history that flows from the tour guides discussion and his answers to the myriad of questions from the visitors attending the tour. A visit to the S.S. Klondike is a must do while you are in Whitehorse.

A a parks Canada site. The paddle wheeler has been beautifully restored to its original state. Excellent movie about the the functions of the riverboats and life on the river. Well with a visit.

This site is absolutely amazing from the staged dining area to the kitchen and sleeping quarters. The size and history of this paddle wheeler is incredible. Definitely a must see!
