I wasn't expecting food this great in Whitehorse!
I ate at Burnt toast twice during my trip - once for breakfast, which was quite good, and a second time for dinner, which was excellent. We had the goat cheese nachos to start, and could have eaten that as our meal! The were delicious.
We had friendly staff both times, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Would certainly recommend.

“Good cafe, good service, good food, too hot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

We generally enjoyed our evening at Burnt Toast. Food was varied and interesting, not expensive. We got good service. Atmosphere was excellent. Only problem was that it was a hot evening and there was no AC - inside was way too warm.

“Interesting menu but food and service only so so; especially for the price.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

Visiting Whitehorse and was pointed here by locals. Menu is ambitious and interesting. But daily soup was served room temperature. Wasn't any warmer after a return to the kitchen. The aioli is nice but no sandwich requires 1/3 cup of it. Service was fast but disinterested. Clearly some thought and energy went into this place and others report it serves great food. Not on the day we went.

“Best restaurant in Whitehorse”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

I am a local, and for my money this is the best restaurant in town. The ambiance is casual - you can eat at the bar if you want to, but the food is first class and comes at very reasonable prices. And they have some very good wines. It's true that it sometimes gets busy and you have to wait for cutlery or something random, but that's what happens when a restaurant is super-popular!

“Nice food but let down by poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

Had breakfast here this morning. The food was good, but the serving staff seemed confused and disorganised. They'd run out of coffee mugs, the table was sticky, and we had to ask 3 times for cutlery after our food had arrived; one waitress went to get some but ended up pouring other diners' coffees before remembering us! And then we only got forks and had to ask for knives! So three stars as the food was very tasty, but they do need to sort out the waiting staff.
