This hotel was fine for a weekend - the gym is closed til late March so instead you'll have to stroll the streets of Whitehorse.
It was clean and quiet and handy for restaurants, cafes, the waterfront etc.
Go for the massive Miner's Breakfast if you need a meaty start to your day.

I stayed at the Westmark Whitehorse Hotel for three nights in May, along with my colleagues. It was like a trailer park in the form of a hotel. You can hear people walking down the halls, and the furnishings are majorly outdated.

Having been to Northern Canada many times, I understand that construction is an issue. Prefabricated buildings are very common, however, I didn't expect this in a hotel. Internet is extra and the restaurant is just ok.

The best feature of this hotel is the location. It is nicely situated in the middle of town, but you will probably need a vehicle if you visit this area anyway, and since it's not far to drive anywhere, you may as well at least check out your other options.

We stayed here for a work conference and the staff were more than friendly and accomodating to our needs. We actually really felt like we were home. The hotel was very well laid out, extremely clean and there was extra care taken in our rooms daily. The food and service at the restaurant was exceptional. We are planning on coming back here in the future and we will definately stay here.
Thanks.

We stayed two nights here as part of an Holland America cruise/tour. They certainly know how to move hundreds of people in and out! Our room was basic, clean and comfortable (scratchy towels though!). It was a bonus to be so close to restaurants (Klondike Rib and Salmon BBQ and Tim Horton's) and other downtown shops, etc. It was really nice to use the free internet to write home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

PROS: Reasonable rates, comfortable beds, hot showers, clean, good restaurant on site.

CONS: Thin walls, squeaky floors, fee for internet use.

Our kids had a hard time being quiet in the narrow halls with the thin floors. You could actually hear anyone walking down the halls. We could hear the guy next door to us. His phone, his Tv and his alarm clock. It was over $6 for wireless internet use. It was also really hot in the entire building. The restaurant was good, but spendy.
