“A Great Start to a Day in Whitehorse”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

Whitehorse was the final destination on our road trip and the Red Door B&B nicely complemented our visit. Great location, clean, cozy & comfortable accommodations. We stayed two nights. Mary Anne makes a wonderful breakfast, knows Whitehorse, and has some great stories to tell.

Great couple of nights spent by our party of five at MaryAnne's Red Door B&B. It was very clean and well appointed and comfortable. The hostess was very friendly and presented fantastic breakfasts and was very accommodating for requests for tea and coffee. The owners clearly enjoy having company and their attention to detail was above average. Highly recommend this as a place to stay in Whitehorse Canada although a car is desirable.

Room Tip: The pick of the rooms is the one with the ensuite but the other three are very comfortable but do sh...

Mary Anne and her husband are great hosts and go out of their way to make you welcome in their home. The room we stayed in was large, with a lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The house is very nicely furnished and immaculate in its presentation. Mary Anne makes an excellent breakfast and is very happy to give advice about things to see and do in the area. Free wifi was an added bonus.

I stayed for four nights in September 2011 and was delighted with the accommodation, courtesy of my hosts and the breakfasts. Location proved fine a short distance from downtown in a pleasant part of the city.

I felt very comfortable at the Red Door. I was on my own and had a spacious twin to myself, with use of a shared sitting area and large luxurious shared bathroom, at a pretty reasonable cost. The guest area has a separate door so you can come and go as you wish. My room had a light-proof blind which was great and would be even more appreciated in early summer. I didn't have a car and found it about a half-hour easy and scenic walk into town. Mary Anne is very hospitable and helpful and even dropped me off one morning about 15 min drive away at the starting point for a hike. But it's the breakfasts that stay most in the mind! Light, fluffy sourdough waffles, served with strawberries and whipped cream; egg dishes other days, with sourdough muffins and scones; fruit, and yoghurt.
