“Best Food for Money”

Salad Bar is the best deal - always includes a meat dish & other hot food. Salad bar half price coupons are available online too. Lots complain about it only because they expect something for nothing. Pick the cheapest restaurant in town, then compare quality and value for your money - Bonanza will come out on top every time.

“Not high end dining, but some excellent healthy choices”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Bonanza has been a part of many Saskatoon family restaurants for years. On the plus side, the manager really works hard to keep things moving, and despite the waiting staff being very young, they are fast and courteous and always keep the free refills of coffee and soda flowing.

Personally, I never order the entrees because they are a bit too expensive for what you get. The salad bar is the main feature of this place. There certainly is a good choice of health options here, lots of fresh veggies. There are hot items here as well, but if you are calorie counting avoid them! They are very inexpensive ingredients loaded with calories, such as macaroni , perogies, dry ribs, mash potatoes, etc. the only healthy option to be found here are the steamed veggies, which are really your standard frozen carrots , peas, beans, corn mix.

The good thing about the ice cream Sunday station is that you can portion control. Avoid the whipped pudding, sprinkles, nuts, etc. unless you don't care about what you are eating.

The restaurant certainly shows its years, especially the decor and bathrooms.

Caters to families and seniors. Just always be careful to watch folks sticking their hands in the salad bar instead of using the dozens of utensils provided. Always worth telling the manager if you see it being done. Salad bars have a lot of hands on them during the course of a day.

You won't leave bonanaza hungry, but you could easily leave several pounds heavier if you are eating everything provided without a care!

“Just your average food”

Nothing out of the ordinary will be found here. Not overly exceptional food. Would much rather spend my money at Fuddrucker's.

“Basic if that”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

We stopped at the restaurant on our way through Saskatoon for a quick lunch. The salad bar was the same as always, lots of items , we should of had just the bar because the burger I had was terrible, won't order that again . Overall staff were friendly and seating was good. Not a great lunch but its still one step above your typical fast food joints. We would stop again but probably only for the salad bar.

“great value”

great value! kids love it, and it is healthier and cheaper than a fast food kids meal ! Salad bar is always fresh, and menu ever changing from day to day, so you can still go twice in one week
