This was a surprisingly good little zoo that we didn't even know about until we were in town. Also a really excellent playground - save at least 20 minutes for kiddos to burn off energy here!

The Forestry Farm and Zoo is a wonderful place for children and families. Well maintained, beautiful grounds, great playgrounds, the Forestry Farm has it all. At Christmas time, a beautiful light display.

This zoo is small ; but at $12.50 adult admission, a great deal. Went on a sunny morning and nice to see the animals enjoying the sun as well. Some of the area is off limits due to heavy construction , but most animals still on display which in Oct is impressive. Make sure you get a map ; I find most zoos layouts aren't cut and dry , and we almost missed the primates due to this. Definitely worth going to.

We were sure happy to see children’s push wagons for rent. this grandma and grandpa forget the stroller. It worked great for a 18 mth old and 4 year old. You have to be able to walk the distances. The animals were great to see. Some exhibits not open but many were.
The food at the concession was a little pricey but tasted good.

This zoo has a lot of animals to view. I arrived there around 9:30am and I was able to see most everything. The animals have lots of space, but no matter where they are within their enclosure you are still able to see them.

The only two downfalls I would say is the fact that there's no route within the zoo so even though they give you a map you still may walk around something two or three times to get to new animals. I wish it went around in a circle so you wouldn't miss anything or they had arrows on the walkways to tell you which way to go.

Also, when I was there the gift shop was closed and when I looked in the window there wasn't anything inside. I'm not sure what was going on there, but i wish there had been some items for sale.

Other than that i would definitely recommend visiting- i loved seeing all the animals!

Many of the animal exhibits were empty. The grass eating animals did not look healthy, the plains bison had multiple open sores on its legs.
The buckeye cafe wasn't very appetizing.

The walk around for the nature was nice, but the walkways are difficult terrain in places.

It was a nice warm day out, but not much wildlife to see. Not sure where the animals were? We saw the Bears and the bald eagles. You shouldn't have to pay for parking, a child buggy, and entrance into the park. That's a money grab. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

We went here just to see the Meerkats they were the newest attraction of the zoo because we’ve been there before we thought we’ll check it out. It was just a small building with glass and i wasn’t expecting they were that small and cute.
The old animals were still there but the gift shop is empty already, no more souvenirs you can buy except for the meerkat stuffed toys. It was a nice day to spend some time.

It’s a great place to take the kids and give them the experience of seeing animals in all sorts of shapes and sizes. The park part of it is also really nice for family picnics. Execellent place to visit with the kids!

We have been to the Forestry Farm on numerous occasions and were very pleased. This recent visit was a disappointment. Many of the exhibit spaces were empty. Which was puzzling. We found out near the end of our visit that some of the animals had been moved to accommodate some enclosure improvements and enlargements. Would have appreciated being told that upon entering. Also the gift shop no longer has gifts in it. We again were not told if this was a temporary or permanent thing, even when my son asked. The question was evaded. And finally the learning centre had some very interesting critters but none of the interactive displays were functioning. Best part was the animal cutouts throughput for photo opportunities. A cute and fun addition to the park but didn’t make up for the disappointment.
