We have visited this venue several times in the past few years and will continue to go back as long as the quality of entertainment remains.
This venue is situated in the basement of an office building in the downtown area of Saskatoon and can be difficult to find on the first visit.
However, the team at the Bassment seem to be able to bring together some very good groups, both local and imported which result in a great evening out for music lovers.
Seating can be a dilemna in this venue, the result of pillars (which hold up the office building above) being placed in areas where a good view of the stage is cut off if you aren't one of the first patrons there for the evening. They have installed some mirrors to help this, but it still is a problem for some patrons.
The menu is limited and the bar is small, but they still seem to be able to keep up with demand.
This place seems to have a large number of "regulars", so once you have been there a few times, it becomes a little easier to connect with other patrons and form acquaintances.
I think, with the exception of the obstructed views, I would almost be tempted to give it a 5 !!
