“Super food, get your money's worth”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Although some people may say it is very expensive you definitely get your money's worth, and never go away hungry. A great Brazilian restaurant. A new trendy place to try in our small city of Saskatoon.

“STOP brunch or fix it”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

OK... We are faithful customers and long awaited our brunch stop with Saboroso. Big mistake.... cold food not enough - horrible presentation in the buffet. NOTHING at all compared to dinner. I just am so sad about this miss.

Please! Attention to detail and a free brunch would be enough to have us come again. We spend a lot and are loyal customers and talk to many people. It's off the list for brunch unless I read they've paid attention to the comments.

“Wow...just wow”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

My partner and I had been meaning to try this place for some time but always thought it was a little too high end for a quick meal when visiting Saskatoon - True it is higher end - however if you have the time and the appetite it is a must. From other reviews I gather it gets very busy on the weekends but we hit it right for an early meal on a Friday.

The atmosphere is very nice and along the lines of the other steak chains (i.e. Keg). The service was excellent from the waitress, to the gauchos and even the manager coming around to see if everything was good. The music wasn't too loud so conversation could go and I liked the use of the tv's for fireplaces to complement the real fire on a cold friday in march.

The common table (salad/sides) is very nice - thank god no pasta salad - olives were fabulous, and the boccacinni and tomatoes are perfect to compliment the meat - if you're a vegetarian I would recommend looking elsewhere although they do have a few vegetarian options marked on the menu. The meat - wow - all the skewers we tried were done to perfection. The lamb had a wonderful crust, the beef loin was butter smooth and the whisky sauce on the chicken was awesome - but the one that really surprised me was the sausage - I thought it would be ok but it was so flavourful and juicy I had to grab a couple of those.
My niece ordered al la carte and found the rio chicken flavourful and not too spicy.

You can expect to spend around $40 for the Riodizo (skewers of meat) per person which I think is comparable for a meal at any good steak place. The al la carte had a nice mix of steaks, chicken, seafood and even pasta - and I may try them someday but the Riodizo is a must.

It is not the place for a quick meal - it is an experience - good food, good conversation and enjoying the atmosphere. If you just want to eat a good steak there are lots of other options but if you want to have a conversation and share in the experience then highly recommended.

Huge selection of food! It's unique how they serve the meat on skewers and come to the table, cut off the piece you want to try, then will come back later with that same meat if you want. There was a couple pork meats, a couple chicken, and a few beef. Then there was a pineapple skewer that was to die for delicious! The buffet for your sides had lots of selection. Be prepared to spend to spend at least an hour and half to two hours to get the full experience. It was a great way to spend the evening eating and visiting. Very friendly staff.
