Went for lunch at aporox 1245 on a Wednesday.
We were seated at one of only approx 5 tables available as the rest were full.
The service was acceptable, server was friendly but not very organized.
I ordered n split the clubhouse n fries. Huge order, very tasty with the regular fillings but, the ham was not your regular shaved variety, more of the breakfast version. Fries are the homemade fresh style, unpeeled type! Delicious

Love this place. The atmosphere and decorating is fun. Food is reliably good. My kids especially love the classic grilled cheese and milkshakes!!

Great retro restaurant, I love the atmosphere there, I feel like I'm In an episode of happy days. I haven't seen Fonzie or Ritchie yet though lol. The food here is great with good sized portions and very friendly staff

When I get a craving for Liver and Onions, this is my go to place. Comes with real mash potatoes, bacon, veggies and gravy...you can't go wrong. There menu is extensive with the old diner flare with reasonable prices. Always quick and friendly service. I determine how good a restaurant is by how busy it can get. There can be line-ups, so be prepared.

The Broadway Cafe is a Saskatoon experience that one must not miss! It is a landmark and visitors will never be disappointed by going there for a meal. The first thing you will notice is that the walls are covered with Elvis, Marilyn Munroe, and James Dean images. As well, the furnishings are straight out of the 50s - all chrome and checkered tile. The largest part of the restaurant is furnished with two and four person tables, and in the back, where the action is, is a long counter with 50s style chrome and red pleather stools attached to the black/white lino floor. It seats about 10 people and the working area is where the staff busy themselves. The counter is where visitors are invited to sit and await an open table when the restaurant is full, and it is full a lot! Be prepared on Saturday and Sunday mornings especially to get there either early or late, to get a table. Otherwise, you will experience a wait. A bit further back behind the counter is where the kitchen is and a large service window lets visitors see the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. The staff are either owners or related to the owners or have worked there for eons. They are all kind and warm and efficient. The food is great! It is significantly above average in terms of quality and taste, and the portions are huge. The fries are fantastic and I recommend the gravy too. One of the best things about the Broadway Cafe is their willingness to substitute. Instead of homefries with an omelette, they will throw in a huge garden salad. The coffee flows freely and the staff are incredibly efficient, and attentive but not intrusive. It's a great place to have breakfast and lunch, and it's nice to experience the blast from the past in terms of the ambience.
