Thr customer service at this hotel was outstanding. When we checked in, our daughters were given a balloon. The next morning the front desk was helpful making change so I could use the laundry facilities.

We spent extra to stay in the space room which was a room with the solar system painted on and space themed decorations. It seemed like a fair price, however, we were surprised that breakfast was not included. Continental, or even hot, breakfasts have been included for all the hotels we have stayed at while driving cross country.
The room was quite noisy, we were woken up by people above us adter midnight and we could make out the conversations of the family in the room next to us. There was a pool which our children enjoyed.

A days inn with a water slide is right across the street and that is where we stay next time. It is just more economical, and would probably have thicker walls. This hotel was not worth what we payed.

We visited saskatoon for a conference. Reserved 3 rooms through Expedia and got 3 rooms all facing the pool. These rooms don't get any fresh air at all and u won't open the balcony door unless u really like humid air saturated with the smell of chlorine... We tried to change our room. The front desk's response was that:"u reserved through Expedia and we don't have any other rooms available"
The hotel is generally clean and the staff are reasonably nice. Nothing about the hotel is particularly outstanding though, except the weekend brunch.
The waterslide is more suitable for kids and, not surprisingly, is almost always flooded with kids and toddlers.
The closest cafe is a 45 minutes walking distance away (that's excluding Tim Horton's) and a taxi ride to downtown takes about 15 minutes and costs $13-15, tip excluded.
At its best, the hotel is an OK option for families/businessmen for a short stay, given that they get a room with an actual window/balcony

The good: staff all very nice, restaurant very good except the coffee, very close to the airport and housekeeping did a great job - room was clean.
The bad: layout of hotel very confusing and with locked doors, it was impossible before 7am to get to the front desk without a guide. No elevators near our room, difficult with luggage, key cards frequently stopped working and very long walk from room to front desk and not fun when you come home late and want to sleep. The gym was always too hot and had broken equipment and had a big leak in the ceiling dripping onto the floor. The air never worked properly in our room but the hallways were freezing. The hotel seems to be neglected, it looks old and uncared for. The beds were very uncomfortable; my family had back pain each morning. Try not to get a room overlooking the pool as it is very noisy and no-one seems to control that area, children run wild. I will never stay here again.

Room Tip: Do not stay close to the exit door out of the hotel as you will hear it opening and closing all nigh...

Stayed a couple nights while at a conference and it was a unique experience. It felt like I was in a maze and I (and many others in our group) found it difficult to find our way around. It felt like there had been many, very random additions to the building over the years with little though to the overall layout. For families, the two pool areas were nice and well used, but it was frustrating to have to walk back and forth through a wet pool area in a suit to reach the banquet room.
