This is a nice hotel. I think it might be a bit old and has had a few updates, but, could use a few more. The inside of the rooms look like maybe in the last 10 years some things have been fixed or changed, but for the most part, it's old. The bathroom is a bit nasty and again, the tub and tub surround have seen better days. At some point, you just can't clean layers of stuff.

THE WORST part about this room is the air/heat unit. Oh my goodness. It's so loud that you either live with room temp or you wake up everytime this beast comes on! Again, I think it's just old. You could not make this baby quiet with servie.

Staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet was great. Some drinks and half price aps in the lounge were very good.

Not a perfect hotel, but I have been in way, way worse places.

Thank you for choosing the Hilton Garden Inn Saskatoon. We appreciate your business and your feedback. I am pleased to let you know that we have recently completed renovations to our Great North American Grill and introduced Steps Lounge. We will begin work in our lobby and conference area very shortly, and our guest rooms will begin renovations in late spring or early summer. We are also in the process of replacing all bathtubs, and have completed this work in just over half of our bathrooms. Thank you again, and we invite you back to see our new look as we progress!

I'm used to the newer HGIs in the USA where as a Hilton Honors member, i get free buffet breakfast coupons. Maybe I'm spoiled here, but..........
Room was neat and comfortable and housekeeping staff was very prompt and efficient.
Fitness room good.
Wireless internet fast.
Staff very friendly.
Downtown location within walking distance to a number of restaurants, shopping, movie theaters and a Starbucks.

The check in was fast and easy. Lots of parking (paid)
Nice pool area.
The rooms are on the dated side.
The room was clean. Our room had a huge stain on the rug. Not a big deal, just made the room look dirty.
Staff was all friendly.
I would stay here again.

Thank-you for taking the time to write your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry there was an issue with your carpet, I can assure you we will be taking measures to fix this problem. Also, I would like to let you know that we will be beginning a multi-million dollar renovation this fall, which will begin in our lobby. In the lobby, we are adding a "We Proudly Brew" Starbucks Coffee kiosk. We will then be moving into the guest rooms and under going a complete room upgrade, which will be completed in the fall of 2012. We look forward to welcoming you back to Saskatoon in the future.

I and 2 of my friends, decided to stay here for a few days, for a much needed girls relaxing holiday- wow!! So awesome. We fgelt so welcome and at home here. The hotel has 3 elevators, so you rarely have to wait for one. We had the roomy one bedroom king suite, fireplace, 2 bathrooms, 2 TV's, jacuzzi tub, super comfortable king bed and the linens and pillows were awesome. Nice, not too cold pool, hot tub and a beautiful 'in the sun' sundeck right off the pool. We found it super quiet, never heard another guest the whole time!! We had neutrogena products- bonus!!!! A microwave and fridge in the room, free cookies and/or lemonade and a 'pantry' at the front desk in case you get hungry- free paper to read. Parking is really handy, employees are super friendly, mall across the street, beautiful park and cold beer/wine store, - not too far away- the restaurant in the hotel was great. The air conditioning worked superbly (was +32 outside). And one of my favorite parts- the windows opened!! none of that stuffy hotel room here!!! I loved this place and we will be back- maybe a 'christmas shopping' trip. a 5 star to me!!

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Garden for a week tand used the current Hilton Getaway rate (included daily breakfast). Since it was for a week, we decided to upgrade to a 1-BR jacuzzi suite. The room was big, clean, and modern (although maybe with slightly dated decor compared to big city hotels). The jacuzzi was a welcome touch to a long day of visiting. Couple of minor quibbles. The pool is small but OK. It could have cleaned a bit better since there were water beetles (completely harmless). The outside deck is large but under utilized with only a few deck chairs. It wouldn't take much to make it a very nice area since it's in the sun from morning to evening. Comparable hotels in the area (Bessborough, Sheraton and Radisson) cost about the same price for a regular room that we paid for a 1-BR suite.

The Hilton Garden Inn is priced the same as some lower end hotels in Calgary (Travelodge, Best Western). However, they exceeded these other chains in almost every way.

Pro's
Crib was setup when we arrived.
The Staff was approachable, friendly and smiled.
Pool was warm and clean.
Sun deck was a plus.
Parking was convenient and easy.
Breakfast was fantastic.
Air Conditioning worked perfectly and was quiet
The room and whole hotel was super clean and decorated elegantly.

Con's
Room 308 had flag poles outside that made noise all night. (metal clamps hitting pole)
Kid Play area was very small and did not live up to advertising.
Parking was $12 a day.
Men's Locker Room shower changed from ice cold to scolding hot. Almost burned my 1 year old.

This was a pleasant stay and beautiful hotel. Saskatoon certainly gives you clean comfortable accommodations for $120 a night.

Room Tip: Avoid room 308 if you are a light sleeper. Or any room facing the flag poles.
