Description: The Willow on Wascana has been a part of Regina life since 2004. We pride ourselves on the amazing and quite surprising bounty this great province has to offer. From every grain under the sun to the most flavorful vegetables you have ever tasted. We even have fresh fruit growing in the valley. The willow has worked very hard with countless families and individuals skilled in the art form known as farming. From our major meat supplier, Pine View Farms in Osler supplying us with an array of all farm animals. Our wild boar family Schneider Farm just 15 minutes outside of Regina. Local eggs, local flour and now even a local cheese artist. Our amazing produce from Heliotrope Farm in Craven, you name it chances are they grow it. All these great things we enjoy so much and transform into our own culinary masterpieces, and just picked fresh right out of the backyard. From Farm to Table, let's face it, that's the way it should be. Cheers, Chef Tim Davies

“Beautiful view and excellent food!”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

I had the pleasure of visiting the Willow on Wascana Lake restaurant recently. The ambience of this quaint restaurant is lovely, the service was excellent and oh, the desserts! This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner, or a quiet setting for a business meeting. Great wine selection and knowledgeable staff make your dining experience unforgettable. Be sure to save time for a stroll around the grounds.

“One of the best”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

The Willow is one of the best restaurants we have ever visited anywhere in the world! One would assume by the reviews, that they either have off days or some diners are only too eager to be critical because of their reputation and wonderful location. The use of local ingredients is wonderful. An excellent spot to take out of town/province/country guests. Makes me proud to be a Saskatchewanian!

“it's like the cooks don't enjoy food”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

This restaurant has the best location in town, so if you're forced to go, as you inevitably will be, sit facing the window and just order dessert. The appetizers and entrees are overpriced and overwrought. It's not a science fair, it's a restaurant. The passion for flavours that characterizes great cooking is lacking here. A great chef knows when to keep things simple (boiled new potatoes with butter and pepper) and when something spicy, new or complex is needed. With the amount this restaurant is charging, they can afford a proper cook who loves food. Specific evils on the menu: red meat is overcooked and, on the two occasions I've tried it, laden with some indefinable spice that makes it taste past its prime - there is also too much of it and the entrees are not balanced with other elements; next, let's talk about spätzle - what a dissapointment! Proper spätzle, preferably pan fried in butter with green onions and nutmeg, is a delight. It is certainly not made with lentil flour!! The wine selection is interesting at the high end, but vastly overpriced. There is potential here, and I believe Regina has room for a high end restaurant, but it's past time to replace the chef.

“Pricey and ordinary”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

This much-toted restaurant seems to rely heavily upon its wine list and its view of the lovely Wascana Lake to garner a certain prestige in Regina. But under the guise of sophistication is some pretty ordinary food at some pretty hefty prices. Having lunched there twice and dined there once, I'd be hard put to say that their wraps or salmon filet distinguished themselves in any way other than to make the pocketbook thinner. But it is somewhere pleasant to take guests for a nice view while dining.
