We found ourselves near downtown Regina this morning, and based on tripadvisor comments we chose Daisy's Pantry for lunch. It's a hole-in-the-wall sort of place, but we were greeted by the owner, Daisy's granddaughter, who opened this 9-3 eatery a few years ago. Each day for lunch she serves a sandwich made on bread she bakes, with your choice of a fresh salad or homemade soup. Today's offering was a 3-cheese grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. One of hte cheeses was herbed cream cheese. Interesting, tasty choice. We both chose the potato soup as our side dish. All for $8 per person. For $4 one can get a fresh-squeezed lemonade. The owner makes her own desserts. Today their were 5 or 6 to choose from. We went away with a chili/chocolate brownie to enjoy this evening. It packed a kick! The texture was A+ and the frosting sublime. It appears a number of business men and women order takeout, and the pantry does a good bit of catering as well. Parking is available on the side street nearby.
