You could not get anything you wanted on the menu, most things not available for lunch. If you want German food, you would not get it here at lunch hour. They went out of business and I sure can see why.

Friends and I went a couple of times. It could have been so much more but just didn't cut it. The food was just average and it being German could have been just terrific. Disappointing.

I liked it, as despite lots of Germans and Ukrainians living in Regina, all the restaurants seem 1. Asian 2. Greek 3. Chain. Stil, was a bit more pricey and a bit less delicious than I thought. Because it is the ONLY German restaurant in Regina, try it once for yourself. But expect to spend $20 a person at least.

There are four of us (co workers) who go out once a week for lunch. One of our regular places is the Bavarian Forest. Our two favorites are the schnitzel (which we order with a saurkraut/gnudel combo) and the schweinehax. The currywurst is also very good. The restaurant interior is very nice, but we would prefer if it were more central or on the southside of the city. The current location has problematic parking and is far away from any of us to make it a regular stop.

This restaurant is wonderful. Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere. We were treated to this restaurant by family and what a wonderful treat is was. We had the veal schnitzel entree (both kinds ordered were very good) which we upgraded to include the borsch (for $2.00) -- excellent decision making as it was very good borsch. We ordered the Black Forest Cake and the Apple Strudel and both were a very large portion -- you may want to share these desserts depending on what you order for your entree. We saw the cabbage rolls at another table and they looked very good. Service was great and the waitress was very knowledgable. We were told the majority of the food served here is made from scratch. I suggest making a reservation because they do cater to special groups if they have requests. They do keep some seating available for walk-in customers but a reservation will guarantee you get in.
