“Nice hotel”

This was a nice clean hotel. Only problem we had was the power went out for a couple hours and then the tv was messed up for several hours after. Made for a long boring night!!

Our family has stayed at this hotel a few times and each time the service has been outstanding! In September 2010 we had a family birthday party in a poolside room, with other family members renting other rooms, and the staff managed my difficult mother-in-law with grace, rearranging all family members into adjacent or across-the-hall rooms. In April 2012 we had reserved for two nights, but my younger daughter got a stomach bug our first night and so we wanted to leave after one night. The trouble was that she wasn't ready to travel at check-out time, so I arranged for late check-out ($10/hour until 3pm). I wasn't even sure she'd be ready by then, so the manager allowed us to stay as late as we needed, which really took the pressure off (we stayed until 5pm), and they didn't even charge us any late check-out fees! The restaurant also makes the perfect poached eggs - not too hard; not too soft! I don't rate this hotel as Excellent because the pool area needs a bit of upgrading and the parking lot/outside entrance area could use a bit more greenery. Also, the poolside rooms are usually noisy until late at night on weekends (understandable, but still makes for a difficult sleep, especially the day before your husband is running a marathon!).

Room Tip: Ask for one with a window that opens.

The rooms were very clean and the service was great. I was in town for a conference, and the shuttle, which was supposed to go to four other hotels and do multiple round-trips to the venue and back to the hotels, never showed up either day that they were supposed to...this happened with the other two shuttles in different areas of town for the conference as well! I know this isn't the hotel's fault, but they called all the other hotels to find out if they'd seen the shuttles or were on their way. When it didn't look like they were coming at all, the concierge had the bellman drive me another woman to the conference, so we wouldn't be late. That went above and beyond and I really appreciate them helping us out! When it didn't show up the following day, the bellman drove us again. I know that's likely not in the job description, but it saved us having to wait for a cab. The first day, the front desk called a cab for me (from the main cab company in Regina), and I waited an hour-and-a-half for it to show up...when it did, it wasn't even from the company we had called. This happened to another woman who had one booked to arrive at a specific time and hers just never showed. Granted, that was the day of the freak snowstorm at the end of April, but still, an hour-and-a-half for a cab? C'mon! Regina's not THAT big. I realize the cab issue isn't directly related to the hotel either, and they did follow up to find out where the cab was and when it would arrive. But I did end up calling a different cab company than the hotel had called for the rest of my trip, and they were always there within five or 10 minutes. Anyway, despite the terrible transportation-related things, the hotel staff always did the best to fix the situation, and that really did save the day.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel to stay at. We've been twice and were treated well both times. Very much like the secure business floor. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great sleep! Loved the pub as well! Great atmosphere.

We were in Regina for a convention and the staff at the Travelodge accommodated our every question or request. The property is older, but the room was large, bed comfortable, large flat screen TV, comfortable leather side chairs, office chair with back support, and the best business center I've seen anywhere. We did not visit the pub (it received great reviews online) or the pool (large water slide) or the fitness center.
The cafe food was just average, but the waitress was very personable. We ate twice at Earl's across the street. Wonderful food.
We would stay at Travelodge Regina again.

Room Tip: The pool gets rented for birthday parties, so don't get a room overlooking the pool if that is g...
