“Great pool for kids!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

My son and I stayed there twice in a week. The rooms were ok, but clean. People at the desk very nice and helpful. The pool and slide were Wonderful! Met many nice adults and kids there and closed it down at 11pm. I dont recommend a pool side room- opt for one away from the noise! Parking was in back. Didnt have any problems there at all. Highly recommend the place to travellers with kids (of any age).

Check out the Melrose Diner across the way for breakfast- the only place I could recommend in the area. Fast food places were horrible! Also check out Chapters (bookstore) and Winners (a Ross type dept store)

This was a very nice hotel for a very reasonable price. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and provided us with a free upgrade upon check in. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The room also felt secure as you needed a key card to access the floor. We travel to Regina frequently and stay in this hotel whenever there is a room available.

We stayed here for a second time in as many years and were once again impressed with this hotel. For those travelling on the Trans-Canada highway, this hotel is very easy to get to as it is only two traffic lights in from Ring Road in the southwest corner of Regina. Some of the other reviewers have commented on the tired looking hallway carpets and really that was the only negative thing I found. The rooms are in excellent shape with very comfortable beds and huge flatscreen tv's.

The pool area is every bit as good as we remembered it with two large pools and a large hot tub almost the size of a pool itself! The water in the pools was nice and warm so it wasn't a shock to the system to jump in! My daughter loved the waterslide and dry playground too.

We found the restaurant in the hotel to be quite good and the kids-eat-free program made it that much better. We ate both supper and breakfast there (no continental breakfast). I was very impressed with the "Healthy Options" portion of the breakfast menu. Service at the restaurant and in the hotel was excellent. The front desk clerks were very accommodating as was the doorman.

We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here one night with children. The hotel is in a good location with many restaurants and stores an easy walk or drive nearby. Close to downtown. The hotel itself is somewhat tired and a bit worn in places. The place was clean, and the front end staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were average; I guess what I'd expect of a travelodge. Nothing too wrong-just nothing special and like I said, in need of a bit of a facelift (ie the carpets). However, this hotel has the best indoor waterslides and swim area I've seen in a hotel and if you have children, this alone makes it worth it. The swim area is clean, and well taken care of. Each room on the ground or second floor also has a little patio that overlooks the swim area which is nice. We spent the entire evening using the waterslides and pools. If you're looking for a higher end hotel and don't have children or don't plan on swimming then I probably wouldn't stay here. But if you do have children, this place can't be beat.

Room Tip: If wanting to use the waterslides, consider a ground floor room which allows you to walk right out y...

I stayed in this hotel recently with my 3 young children. The hotel was ok but could have been much better if they had been a little more friendly at the front desk and realized that a parent travelling alone with 3 young kids really could use a little bit of help for check in and taking baggage to the room. I parked in the entrance of the hotel, checked in and asked if there was any possible assistance to help me take our baggage to take to the room. The answer was, 'the trolley's are over there' as she pointed at the far end of the hotel where there were two trolleys. So I got one, loaded the bags from the car, took the kids to the hotel (which was way on the far side of the hotel), then left the kids in the hotel room while I went to park the hotel. Pretty poor overall.
The hallways are dated and have old carpet but the rooms are quite ok. Everything worked and looked ok.
The restaurant was ok for breakfast (service was ok) but the quality of the food was very poor. Something you would expect to eat at a truck stop.
Check out was easy - just called the front desk and they said all was fine and I could just leave without having to stop there.
We did not have time to use the waterslides.
Overall a hotel that has some potential but unfortunately is lacking in some finer details to make it a really special place to stay.

Room Tip: If you travel with kids try to get a room that is closer to the main area rather than way in the bac...

I was so impressed with the Travelodge. My extended family made our annual trek to Regina to watch the Rider's play and stayed at the Travelodge. It blew me away- I expected your average Travelodge- basic & clean and got something much more.

The beds were super comfortable, the decor was outstanding, and the service was friendly and helpful. I would almost be ready to call it a luxury hotel, it was that nice. We were staying in 5 different rooms, and the hotel put us in a separate corridor with only 8 rooms, so we were all literally just across the hall from each other. Normally when we travel as a group we are spread out all over the hotel- not here!

We were away from the pool area (not far, but far enough) so we didn't hear any pool noise- the hotel seemed very quiet despite the number of people staying at the hotel. The pool was often crowded, but that wasn't our primary purpose in traveling, so it didn't bother me.

Next year we will definitely stay at the Travelodge again!

Clean rooms, friendly staff, free parking slow elevator, great water-slide and pool for kids. Food service was lacking, but plenty of places nearby. In room coffee very weak and tasteless. Comfortable beds and good to get a room overlooking pool if you want to keep an eye on older kids. Request a room away from pool if you want quieter location.

Room Tip: Parking lot fills up quickly get a good spot earlier, ask for a room away from pool if you prefer le...
