It is great to see this attraction, in my former home city, listed with tripadvisor.
Wascana lake is the gem in the centre of the largest manmade park in North America. Dug by hand as a make work project during the Depression years, the surrounding park land has expanded to include restaurants, the McKenzie Art Gallery and Museum of Natural History. Kilometres of walking and biking trails follow Wascana Creek virtually from one end of the city to the other. A rowing club, an outdoor band shell and outdoor swimming pool, with an ajoining paddeling pool and children's playground are other family attractions in the park.
Tours of the Provincial Legislative building are available throughout the year.
