“Largest Manmade Urban Park In North America”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

It is great to see this attraction, in my former home city, listed with tripadvisor.
Wascana lake is the gem in the centre of the largest manmade park in North America. Dug by hand as a make work project during the Depression years, the surrounding park land has expanded to include restaurants, the McKenzie Art Gallery and Museum of Natural History. Kilometres of walking and biking trails follow Wascana Creek virtually from one end of the city to the other. A rowing club, an outdoor band shell and outdoor swimming pool, with an ajoining paddeling pool and children's playground are other family attractions in the park.
Tours of the Provincial Legislative building are available throughout the year.

“It's a WOW on a beautiful day!”

Plenty of biking/walking paths along the river. Beautiful flowerbeds. We visited the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and Legislative Building on the grounds as well.

“Picturesque little part of Regina”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

This park is beautiful and worth a look, or a walk, or a few photos. Located a short drive from downtown Regina, Wascana offers walking/running paths, lake activities, free parking, gardens, and access to the Legislative Building, art gallery, and science centre. My only warning: watch out for goose poop!

“A beautiful oasis in a modern city”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

What a great park and lake to have on the prairies!!! I'd run around the lake almost daily! On day my wife and I rented Kayaks and paddled around the lake. You just don't find that everywhere!
