“Nice hotel, bad location”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

This is a nice hotel for a reasonable price. We stayed in this hotel upon being stuck in Prince Albert due to unfavourable driving conditions. We had no issues during our stay. The only negative thing about this hotel is its location. It is located on the outskirts of the city and subsequently not within walking distance to anything.

Stayed here after driving from Southend, was a good choice as it was out of town so it was quiet. Great easy checkin helpful front desk. Had a laundry with one washing machine and dryer, not enough for us as we had a weeks washing, but we got most of it done there and headed off to the laundromat. No restaurant for dinner, had to go back to town but breakfast was good. All in all value for money and clean and tidy.

This was the 1st Hotel that we stayed at on our trip to Saskatchewan.

Super impressed with "Earl" the night auditor. Couldn't have asked for a more friendly welcome, when we arrived late in the evening.

Start to finish, everything was spotless, quiet, and great value! Super comfy bed, and breakfast was great!!

We would definitely return again, if we find ourselves back in PA.

We were in the city for classes, and wanted a good sleep between training days. We picked this hotel as it was removed from bars, casinos, etc and we hoped it would be quiet. Were not disappointed. Hotel was clean, smelled fresh, great beds and pillows. Did not hear a sound from hallway or other rooms. The only time we even saw other patrons was at breakfast. Breakfast itself was very nice, with good selection; bagels, cream cheese, ripe nectarines, mmmm. Would definately stay here again.

We were drawn by this motel's good reviews. They didn't mislead us. Western First Nations as franchisee, is doing an excellent job. Clean and comfortable with courteous service, a very functional fitness facility and continental breakfast from 6:00-9:30 AM. We considered this to be a good value.

I loved staying at this hotel, it was so easy to check in, the atmosphere was modern and fresh. We came for a wedding and we were a big part of it, my sister was the bride, so we had a lot of chaos happening, more so because I was the maid of honor. The staff at front desk were courteous and I owe many thanks to Jasmin for taking on some of my load and just being a downright sweetheart, making my stay and a special day breezy and amazing. Stay at this place if you want great service, clean, grand rooms, and just an overall experience that caused my trip to be more enjoyable.

The hotel is newly built and on the southern outskirts of town. At present, it is a little hard to access, drive past on the divided highway then u turn back to the hotel. It seemed far from capacity when we stayed for two nights. Our reservation was done on the Super 8 website and was correctly and speedily handled when we arrived. As the hotel is fairly newly built, everything seemed clean,in decent shape and it looked to be well managed. Because of it's situation on the edge of town, the views were of machinery dealerships and the like.
Our room was a double queen. Fresh linens, flat screen tv, fridge and microwave. Everything worked well and the maid did a good job. There is an adequate fitness centre, but no pool etc. In the mornings, a continental breakfast was served and we found it of a high standard of it's type . Cereals, bagels, muffins, toast, boiled eggs, juice, coffee, tea, fruit and probably more, all served in a clean, quiet, breakfast area. There is no on site restaurant, you have to drive the short distance back into town for other meals. The only thing that caused issues was the soft drink machine that malfunctioned each time we used it in different ways. However, the front desk personnel were very efficient it sorting out the problems. ( It looked like this was a common experience)
Our room had an adjoining door and this was not very sound proof. However, the adjoining family was not particularly loud so this was not an issue. It could be if you were next to any party animals. There seemed to be none in the hotel the two nights we stayed, so are unsure how the hotel would deal with them if the occasion arose. However, we slept very well.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel as a base when visiting Prince Albert. The hotel is not a destination in itself. A free shuttle to the nearby casino was advertised and it is close to other hotels, dining and shopping places. We would recommend it as a place to spend the night when in PA.
