Where to start?!? The young woman greeting us didn't know all the menu and the meals that I was contemplating for supper. We asked if there was a quiet table, but then led to a corral of tables much too close to each other! When we asked to sit at another table without persons on either side, the owner intervened and asked why we didn't like the table next to another couple...not tactful!. When I said we would leave, he then allowed us to sit at the other table...it turned out that the other tables remained vacant due to the lateness of the evening (8:45pm). The service was sporadic, as the first waiter we summoned advised that there are no assigned tables. So it took several minutes to be greeted and asked for our starting beverages...water arrived at the end of the meal just after the plates were removed. We also had to ask if bread was served with the meals, and soon after some stale, room temperature bread arrived with frozen butter. My cannelloni was bland tasting, meat filling meagre, pale coloured sauce, watery cheese, but the waiter did bring some spicy pepper preserves that partially made the meal palatable. The seafood linguini was passable, with shrivelled fish pieces but would have been a better choice than my linguini...but my companion reneged on sharing after tasting my meal. The prices of $21.50 for the cannelloni and $29.95 for the seafood linguini are horribly over-priced for the quality and quantity served. The only bright spots of this dining experience were the wine selection by an older waiter, some lively singing accompanied by accordion music, and a buffer of vacant tables for some privacy during conversation. I won't be returning on my next annual trip!
