Recommend this B&B for it's character, & helpful hosts & good breakfasts. Parking is tight, but they manage to fit you in. Not recommended if you have trouble climbing stairs. Quiet atmosphere. Hosts make you feel welcome. Large rooms. Located in the heart of Old Quebec. Includes Wi-Fi & Internet station.

This place is amazingly located, nestled in a great corner of Old Quebec. It has a view of the Chateaux and the Citadelle, depending on which room you're in. It's also right around the corner from one of the most classic streets in Quebec City, St Louis!

Amazing and warm welcome, the owner was so helpful, nice, friendly, but completely non-intrusive. The breakfast was wonderful, we got choices of eggs, crepes or french toast, with fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and juice! so yummy! There was no big rush to get out either, nice and relaxed.

The house was beautiful, and classic! The integrity of the house is very much intact. I have nothing but good things to say! stay there, specially if you are english and have a limited knowledge of the french language. Wonderful!

This is a historic home in the middle of Old Quebec. The location can't be beat - within walking distance of most of the places you will want to see while in Quebec, shops and restaurants. (The Restaurant Saint Amour is just across the street and their weekday lunches are a great value for a three course lunch - a good way to try the food without paying the much higher dinner prices). It's a family home, Greg, his now ex-wife Guitta, and their two teenage daughters. The daughters are beautiful young women and were often at home and seemed quite relaxed about all the strangers in their home. At the time we were there they were dog sitting a relative's pet and he was charming and quiet (no barking!). The room itself (the "high priestess" or red room) was okay. Two queen beds made for cramped living. The seating was a couch that was somewhat uncomfortable and because there were no nearby reading lights it really couldn't be used for reading so everything had to be done while lying in the bed. Only one bed had a reading light. The bathroom also had no light over the mirror so my overall impression was dimness and cramped quarters. I see other reviewers had four people in the room (adults and two older children) and I'm amazed. The floor lamp even had a red light bulb further contributing to the darkness. One had to go to living room/dining room if you wanted to read, play cards, or get out of bed! The breakfasts were substantial but somewhat repetitive so if you are there for several days there is little variety. Greg the host is exuberant and enthusiastic about his city, business and family - a gregarious, interesting guy who is expanding to a wilderness cabin 8 hours north of Quebec. It is a very informal sort of place, no deposits required, you leave your car keys on the sideboard so cars can be shuffled around the limited parking area, you take your shoes off upon entry and wear crocheted slippers while in the house. A quirky, charming inn but not particularly functional. The bed was very comfortable but the small room, dim lighting, bathroom with clawfoot tub and hand shower made for a not very functional place to stay. But I give this place high value for the money. Location a big plus, Greg and family a big plus, history a big plus, comfort less so.

We had the pleasure of staying with Greg and Guitta at this charming B&B in the heart of Old Town in Quebec. The rooms and decor gave the place exactly the type of feel we were looking for. Greg also went out of his way to take us on a walking tour of the city and was very helpful with tips on how to tour the city on our own. The breakfast was more than you can ask for.. made to order eggs, bacon, sausage, and even homemade kimchee by Guitta. In addition, I've never seen such a large selection of cereal and muffins at a B&B. Overall, a pleasurable and very memorable stay. Highly recommended!
