Stopped in here for lunch on our first day in Quebec city.
The food was excellent. The staff were courteous and prompt. The staff did well to pick up we were English. Catered to our every need. Menu had a variety of options. We wish we had had more time to eat here again but will definitely eat here on our next trip back!

I followed the recommendations that I read here on Trip Advisor and I'm very glad I did! We sat outside and enjoyed watching people and listening to the street musicians. The food was incredible, the service was good. For the uninitiated, sweetbread is lamb thymus (glands) - not a cinnamon roll! :-)

Because of the reviews in Trip Advisor and because the restaurant was just 10 stairs away from our room. But what a great culinary experience! Quebec new cuisine at his best with fresh local ingredients, impressive presentation and even a lot to eat in your plate. Unpretentious and friendly service, beautiful view on Chateau Frontenac, romantic atmosphere. Don't miss it !

Read the reviews about this place last night and decided to give it a try. Managed to get a table outside on the street, which was good fun for people watching. Food was excellent, we had the table d'hote for 18.95 extra on top of the main course, well worth it. Started with crab cakes, followed by delicious "zucchini" soup (when will you North Americans learn to call it courgette?!) ;-), then the braised lamb shank which just fell off the bone, followed by rum creme brulee and coffee, All fantastic, with great, attentive service. Would definately recommend this place to anyone visiting the City. We ate at Aux Ancienes Canadienes the night before, and it wasn't as good (although perfectly fine), but was much more expensive to boot.

We had read the reviews and searched out Le Pain Beni, very easy to find! The concierge at our hotel(loews) reccomended as well! We were very pleased!! Lovely dinner for our last night in the city! We have 3 children and they enjoyed the pizza selection while my husband and I had the bison and filet mignon. Excellent service in a quaint spot!
