We had a good meal here, the waiter was very amusing, and we took his advice on wines ,food etc, no problems. No more to say really.

We were headed to another place where we couldn't get in for a half an hour. As we walked the charming streets we found this place and ended up having dinner there. What a delight! Excellent service, charming ambiance, and the food was outstanding. We are vegetarians (we do dairy) and had the crouton with pureed fig and melted cheddar-to die for. Then salad and the quiche, which may sound pedestrian but the quiche and side of veggies was memorable. We even ordered another side of the veggies. Succulent, flavorful, perfect texture, sophisticated seasoning...And the maple pudding was beyond any dessert we have ever had- a huge portion, flavor and texture that was a new and stunning experience. We left realizing that once again, we had stumbled on a place that would live in our memories. Other patrons also seemed pleased and lingered over luscious desserts and coffee. It is tiny yet comfortable, service impeccable, highly recommend....

Possibly one of my favourite part of our mini-break to Quebec City was eating here. We went on Sunday evening around 6pm and it was quite quiet. The log fireplace was lit, the lighting was perfect and comfortable.

I had the meal deal, instead of soup I was allowed to swap for garlic bead followed by ravioli - soooo goood! And then an apple bead thing with caramel. Hubby had the red deer steak with blueberry sauce at the recommendation of the waitress and he polished off his plate. For dessert he had a traditional (local to Quebec) maple pudding and after tasting it I wish I'd had my own! Yum!

We were tempted by customer tasting the onion soup and nodding. There was a server outside inviting us in. She was very friendly and helpful. We had the onion soup, garlic bread and each had wine and beer. We would definitely recommend stopping here for agood meal.

Excellent food and service. Nicely decorated, in a good location and nice ambience. The restaurant has outdoor dining and is in the area of shops at the base of Frontenac.
