The placewas packed so we ignored the tripadvisor reviews....the menu was a little confusing sicen we are not fluent in french jargon thai or vietnamese...but we ordered a table d'hote for 2 - and they just kept binging food. The service was good, literlay gave us the last table and people kept pouring in, but the 4 main dishes of beef, pork, chicken all tasted the same and infact looked the same. All a brown raisn suace withlots of green and red peppers - the scallops were good as was the thai soup and egg rolls. But it did not taste like Thai, Vietnaese, or really even Chinese food. But there was LOTS of food - with afinal bill of 44$ (no alchohol) but this did include a little dessert and coffee.

This restaurant was across the street from our hotel. After reading reviews, we decided to try it (partly because it was raining out and we didn't want to walk very far). Based on reviews, we decided to buy a bottle of wine as we'd read they allow it. Indeed, almost every single table had brought a bottle or two of wine to enjoy with their meal. They even provide a chilling bucket for your wine if needed.

We ordered a full course meal for two people. They offer four of these choices on their menu. We enjoyed spicy soup, a small salad, two imperial rolls a piece, and then had pork "with aphrodisiac herbs", chicken with vegetables, and beef curry for main courses. Dessert was included and the owner recommended a sort of tiramisu cake which was served with coffee or jasmin tea. The food was excellent, particularly the beef curry, and the total bill was ~$45 Canadian. Get a reservation if coming in after 18:30.

Arrived in QC late Sunday evening and found the Saigon Bangkok whilst out for a brief walk. So glad we decided to give it a try! Fantastic meal at a very modest cost. The 4 course table d'hote included a great chicken soup followed by imperial (spring) rolls with side salad, main course (I had chicken, my wife had beef both included rice and vegetables) and dessert (I had a fantastic deep-fried apple with a syrup drizzled over it , my wife had a rice pudding that she said was amazing) plus tea. If you care for wine you can purchase it at the "depanneur" (corner store) two doors down and bring it in with no corkage fee! Bill for two people was only $33 !!!

We were heading for a quick meal at Thai express (up the street) and on our way we saw how busy restaurant Saigon Bangkok was. We quickly checked the online reviews and decided to try Saigon instead of the typical Thai take out! We were served quickly and the food was great! Excellent portions and good value! If we had more time to spare I would've ordered a chef special that includes salad, soup, spring rolls, entree, dessert and tea! A great last minute dinner choice!
