Nice food and service if you can afford it...lots of extra charges on the menu and expensive wine list, but still worth the splurge.

We were the first ones in the restaurant and had a lovely multi-course tasting menu meal that was served over about 3 hours. It was one of the best meals I have ever had, and even though it took a long time, it didn't seem like a long meal. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed a splendid evening at the Saint Amour recently. The full degustation menu had many tempting items including some of the foie gras for which the chef is known as well as fish and venison. All the items were treated in an interesting and very tasty way and we enjoyed each course. The sommelier did wine pairings using their fairly extensive by the glass wine list, splitting glasses to keep it to a manageable quantity.
The main room of the restaurant, a sort of interior garden is very pleasant and was quite full on our evening. The only criticism would be that the servers had to hurry in the room, not a completely serene sight. But our server nonetheless took time to check frequently and as the room emptied a bit, stopped to talk and give us some recommendations for the nearby Ile d'Orleans.
Note that the wine list gets expensive fast, with a thin layer of under $90 bottles and the main body being in the $ 120 - 250.
A very pleasant way to spend an evening in Quebec!

Treated ourselves to dinner here after some research and word of mouth recommendations. We had the 5 course tasting menu and they were happy to accommodate my wife as a vegetarian by swapping some of the courses up for her. Service was incredible and they could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our experience. Food wise first course soups were quite possibly the best we have ever had in a restaurant (both were different to accommodate vegetarian), second was very good with a tomato type salad, main course the vegetarian dish was exquisite and the fish very, very good. Dessert was very good but not quite as good as some of the other courses. Wine options were wonderful and our waiter was happy for us to sample a few before we decided upon our choice. I guess when you opt to spend $125-$150 per person with wine (tax and tip included) you should expect something above and beyond. Le Saint-Amore did not fail to impress and we would absolutely go back.

Probably one of the finest restaurants we have ever visited. The art work on the walls were beautiful as well as the rest of the decor. The service was outstanding, and the food from start to finish had exceptional flavor. The only minor negative, was a very expensive wine list with very high markups on wines we are familiar with back home, but this is to be expected in a top notch place like this. a super dining experience...
