We came for the seared foie gras and were only slightly disappointed, you see we came during lunch, and the seared foie gras was not on the lunch menu. But after having the terrine of foie gras and some sauterne we were deemed worthy and the establishment and chef made "an exception" and served us the the seared foie gras with some additional sauterne. Our pallets were now satisfied. Service was excellent, the atmosphere could not be improved on. Expensive, oh yes, 2 terrine of foie gras, two seared foie gras, a cheese plate, and four sauterne's, $200 plus the tip. For this were not complaining, we are simply informing, we knew what we wanted and Le Saint Amour provided exactly what we ordered and wanted. An outstanding lunch.

I went in to this restaurant because of the good reviews and enticing decor: I was not disappointed! The service was excellent, with elegant, smiling waiters. I have no complaints about anything I ingested! Everything was wonderful. The starter bread and butter were of fine quality, and the brut champagne was well-chosen. I also had the foie gras, lobster bisque and venison dish---everything was superb! I will also add that the portions are quite satisfying as well, so 3 courses was actually too much :)) Next time, I'd skip a food-course and take a dessert instead.

The foie gras is very good, but the rest of the food is just ordinary good, nothing spectacular. I had the "decouverte menu" for $115 and it took 2.5hours to serve, which i found kinda long because each appetizer only took a bite. The service was particulary miserable. For this scale of restaurant, you would expect great service, but the waiters were clumsy and not very informed of the menu. Would try to go elsewhere next time.

What a delight! Seated by the window in the smaller traditional front room ( the rear is larger with interesting decor) in this fine restaurant, amazing foie gras (the "5 way" sampler and one simply macerated), followed by smoked&salted duck; mushrooms in puff pastry and then heavenly rich local squab and venison - all perfectly cooked, very rich, very enjoyable. Local cheeses and a very rich chocolate desert followed, all with excellent wine. A very fine dining experience reminiscent of the best of Europe. Fine service, great ambiance, highly recommended - we will return!
Not cheap at all - worth every penny!

We booked this restaurant for a corporate event and it was great! The food was incredible, the service was excellent and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I had a shrimp dish to start followed by the beef with rosotto and everything was finished of with a trio of desserts. The desserts were very good it was a mini maple creme-brulee, a small layered cake and a bit of homemade ice cream, I wasn't personally fond of the ice cream but others loved it. Food was presented beautifully, quickly, and tasted wonderful. Wine was also refilled quickly by friendly staff and te staff also knew exactly what was on your plate which was nice. The amuse-bouche was wonderful and interesting. I didn't personally like the hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour but again others seemed to enjoy them. I would eat here again.
