Description: The magic of the Petit-Champlain district adds to the charm of the Lapin Sauté. By day, this pedestrian street comes alive with the sounds of chatter. By night, the lighting makes shadows dance on the walls of the street's historic houses. Dining at the Lapin Sauté is akin to walking into a warm, quaint and cozy inns from the early 20th century. There is nothing better than sitting in the comfort of this small, friendly 32-seat restaurant where you're always welcomed with open arms. During the summer, the Lapin expands to 52 seats with its outdoor terrace and patrons flock here under the warm sun. In the winter, a fire warms your heart and soul as you discover local country products made and served like nowhere else.

Great ambiance inside and out- great service from friendly staff--quality thoughtful cuisine equals a great experience--had lunch today and went back tonight f dinner although the rabbit is the star here and is prepared in a plethora of ways, you can find several palate pleasing options---do yourself a favor and enjoy the neighborhood and the special experience of this unique dining pleasure

Lovely courtyard next to green space. Freshly cooked food, rabbit a speciality but gravelux salad was so tasty. Friendly service, no hidden extras.

Lovely restaurant indoors though tight tables, we sat outside on a rainy night but staff was great at accommodating periodic downpours and adjusting tables. I enjoy rabbit which is like white meat chicken with lovely flavors but others in the group had other entres which were equally good. Recommend the Lapin with Rosemary. Nice choice for family dinner with higher end food experience while still casual and accommodating to children and within the pricing tier of most other restaurants in Quebec which is a bit on the high side but worth it and not an experience you can have at home.

We tried to make a reservation for courtyard seating for dinner earlier when we were in the area but reservations are only good inside. So we went back early to make sure to get outside seating. Lovely weather to eat outside and the atmosphere can't be beat with the small shaded park next door where street musicians perform. We weren't in any hurry and wanted a relaxing dinner so didn't order our dinner until after we were done with our appetizers. We shared the single cheese tray and salad, plenty for the three of us. Our entrees were all very tasty. I particularly enjoyed my pork chop with a maple glaze. The glaze was great even on the potatoes and grilled vegetables. Husband had the two mustard rabbit and enjoyed that also.

Great sampler plate (shareable for two, with a salad or soup for each to start) of cold smoked duck breast, heavenly foie gras, leg of rabbit and leg of duck, duck sausage, rabbit rillettes (surprisingly wonderful). Lovely location, with lots happening on the rue pietons (pedestrian restricted path) outside and the garden - we got to hear an impromptu accordion serenade! Everyone is so friendly, too!
