I don´t like to talk about prices when trevelingl, but in the case of Le Continental I am thinking about the price and not about the good food. Le Continental it is not a very modern restaurant but it is fine. The service was not bad and not very good once they forgot us. The food was good but not fantastic. Always looking to the prices the bil to pay was $250 for two. This price for the quality was almost the double of the price we would pay in a restaurant at Toronto.

We didn't realize that this is a more dressed up environment, my wife and I were both wearing jeans and a dress shirt but most of the folks there were a bit more dressed, saw a few guys in jackets. Had champagne in the bar next door, the less formal part of the restaurant, really nice bar there. After seating, the waiter helped us find a nice French red. Service was very attentive without feeling rushed, the staff really makes you feel taken care of. We had a sampler type of appetizer, excellent. Had the peppercorn steak flambe and it was cooked table side and was perfect! Considering the waiter handles the flambe and waits on other tables as well, I have to give him credit for getting the steak so perfect. And what is more fun than feeling a giant flame hit your face!

This is more of a traditional setting type of restaurant which is not to say it's a bad place, it's definitely not. I just wasn't wowed compared to the rest of my trip in QC and Montreal and it was a bit pricey. So I can't give it a 5. But if you're looking for a more formal setting, you will enjoy this place.

Went to this restaurant with friends while vacationing in Quebec City. The restaurant was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. Our waiter was friendly and provided excellent service. Three of the four of us ordered steaks which were prepared tableside and all were cooked exactly as ordered. The sauces on the steaks were a bit overpowering. None the less, the steaks were tender and delicious. Our fourth diner ordered a shrimp dish which was also prepared tableside. He said that they were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special meal.

Took clients here for lunch. The restaurant is in a very old historic building and was very stuffy, all servers wore white jackets with white bowties. I had the lunch special; pea soup was very bland, the lamb shank was delicious but very basic steamed veggies and potatoes on the side and not well displayed. The chefs pastry was a raspberry and basil mousse which was surprisingly good. It was very expensive considering how basic the food was. Probably will not return as I prefer more modern spaces and you can find better food at many other restaurant in Quebec City.

Four of us dined here as our last dinner before going home to Luxembourg, Belgium, and Boston. We ordered the Cesar salad made table side as well as their signature filet steak coked and flambéed table side along with lovely Dover sole and scallops and finished it all off with Cherie's jubilee, you guessed it, flambéed table side.
Our server was handsome, friendly, skilled, and engaging in conversation throughout our meal. He explained he had worked here for six years and enjoyed the challenge of serving guests while preparing many on the menu items table side.
Everything was delicious and the evening was a lovely way to end our trip.
The prices reflect the excellent quality of the products and the service. The wine list was pricey, particularly the California wines--so go Bordeaux like we did. A unique experience and wonderful dinner.
