We arrived in Quebec after a long, rainy drive from Montreal and were looking for a good meal and wine near our hotel. The concierge recommended la Cremaillere and we set out to go there. Although we did not have a reservation, the maitre d' seated us immediately, while the restaurant was still full at 9 PM, patronized by locals. The cuisine is classical French. My wife had mussels in cream sauce, the likes of which was simply heavenly. I had the loin of rabbit which was the absolute best ever. The wine list is priced reasonably. The service was professional and efficient.
