“Good Italian food just a short walk from Old Quebec”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

We enjoyed our meal here a lot. We were the only non-French-speaking people here, so it would be good if other tourists would check this place out -- it's not that far of a walk. The best Italian food that we had in Quebec, and prices were quite reasonable. It seemed like a family-run place and service was very friendly. We had pesto (which was pretty good) and Pasta Ciccio which had a delicate cream sauce and was very good. The wine list stood out compared to others...great selection, moderate prices; the Chianti Classico Riserva which we had was outstanding (and, reasonably priced). We would highly recommend this restaurant.

“Best Restaurant in Quebec City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

This small Italian bistro is off the beat and path for tourists. This place seems to attract the locals. Loved the ambience and noise level in the restaurant. Great restaurant for a romantic dinner or quiet time with friends.
Service was top notch as was the food. Of all the restaurants I went to in Quebec this stands as my favorite!

“A local's spot for good Italian food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

My husband & I really enjoyed our meal at Ciccio Cafe. It was an easy walk from our hotel on Rue St. Jean and the food was delicious and priced very reasonably. We each had a pasta dish that arrived from the kitchen quickly and well seasoned, portions were generous but there was no need for a leftover's box since we cleaned our plates. The wine we chose to go along with our meal was also very good, all in all our best meal in Quebec City. The only thing better than the food here was the service, it was exceptional. Our waiter watched from a distance, so as not to be too intrusive, but we never lacked for a thing. Thank you so much, can't wait to come back.

“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

Ate here on my one year wedding anniversary, which happened to be on a quiet Sunday night. We were the only people in the restaurant! It was very romantic. Francois (Frank) was super nice to us, and more importantly our meals were delicious. I had the shrimp and scallops in a curry sause, my wife got the fish of the day (wali) and both were perfect. It was one of our best experiences in Quebec City, and we will definitely be back!

“Great food, service, atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

We were staying at the Hilton so this was a nice easy walk from our hotel, about .7km, slightly hilly, but good pre and post dinner exercise! It's semi off the beaten path and certainly not touristy. My guess is we were on the only English speaking table this night and maybe only tourist.

We were seated along the far wall, a nice cozy table for 2. Each table has a nice big bottle of olive oil on it, which of course means most like yummy bread coming after we order. We ordered a garden salad to split as an appetizer which was good, nothing special or dazzling, but good. For dinner we had the Tortellini Gorgonzola ($16) and the linguine with clams and white win sauce ($17). The tortellini was super rich and creamy and I probably dipped 4 pieces of bread in it just so I wouldn't waste the sauce! The linguine was very good also with a nice taste to the white wine sauce.

We were too full for dessert so just asked for the check at that point. What also stood out here was the service. One server sat us, then took our order. 3 different people filled up our water glasses and another server cleared the plates. Everyone here seems like they work as a team which really stood out to make our experience great.
