A little bit of the beaten path; but little enough to be worth even a rainy walk. Terrific food, good service and reasonable prices along with nice cafe ambience. What more could you want?

We were in the mood for Italian and this was near our auberge. We felt so fortunate to have happened upon a wonderful dinner experience. I say experience because we felt the intent of the owner as to how this evening should be. The food was really quite good; delicious calamari fritti, salmon dinner that included so many touches (Italian style zucchini, seasoned rice, some parsnip!, a sake sauce for dipping), and linguine with shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels; so good! A delicious Orvieto.....ahhh, but the music. It was right up my alley. Here, the owner excels and even provided a video screen near the bar identifying the artist and album. We were in heaven.

My husband and I enjoyed a hearty Italian dinner here. We tend to look for places that are away from all the tourists, so our walk from Grand Allee led us here and it was a good find. We didn't have a reservation but they accommodated us in a corner table. The food was very good and not so unfriendly to the wallet. The service was slow at first and we had to ask for a basket of bread twice, but after that it was fine. We weren't in a rush anyway and had two glasses of wine sitting in front of us.

This is a beautiful restaurant. The ambiance is nice, the table setting nice, the service good. I ordered a main entree with table d'hote. The soup was mediocre and had no garnish. The salad was overly drenched in oil and vinegar. And the main course had large scallops and large shrimp in it. The main entree had some broccoli and cauliflower which were rubbery. The entree was garnished with dried parsley flakes. We had the house white wine which was fine. We spent about $120 including tax and tip. The lack of presentation and probable frozen vegetables used in the main entree left us feeling like this restaurant was only marginal yet had so much potential.

We are very sorry thet your meal wasn't satisfactory. We try hard to satisfy our customers but sometimes it is hard without feedback from our patrons. We do not use dried parsley and our vegetables are fresh, never frozen. We hope on your next visit you will come back and give us a try and please tell us if something is wrong we will remedy the situation.

We walked here from our hotel and had a very nice meal with wine and a pleasant atmosphere. This is a nice alternative (and less expensive) than the restaurants in the main part of the city. Our waiter was very attentive but not obtrusive. Soft music playing in the background. Food was superbly prepared.
