Description: Le Chic Shack is a new gourmet burger/milk shake restaurant opened in June 2012. We also serve poutines, fries and salads. For dessert, we offer milk shakes and ice cream sandwiches. The owners of Le Chic Shack are the sister-brother team of Lucy and Evan Price. They are also owners of the renowned Auberge Saint-Antoine and Panache restaurant in Quebec City. Located in a historic building owned by their family for five decades, Le Chic Shack reflects their culinary and interior design expertise. In creating their new restaurant, Lucy and Evan worked closely with their management team and Chef Mikael Garneau, previously of Panache, The Culinary Edge of San Francisco (California) and their local supplier base.Beyond our tasty recipes, these are some features that make Le Chic Shack stand out:* brioche buns made by local artisan baker Borderon et fils * sweet potato fries (along with fries from white potatoes)* uniquely built poutines - from side to main course dishes* milk shakes and ice cream sandwiches made with old fashioned coaticook ice cream * our own fruit sodas and ice tea* draft beer from the local Archibald brewery* draft wine selected by the sommelier of the Panache restaurant* the dynamism and energy of an open kitchen* a relaxed dining environment with tremendous views of the Chateau Frontenac through large French windowsLe Chic Shack is located on the Place d'Armes in the Vieux-Quebec (Old Quebec), facing the Chateau Frontenac and below the Musee du Fort.

“Fab food and beer!”

THE POUTINE. The potatoes were so dark and delicious! The cheese curds and gravy were amazing! A bit of a more upscale take on poutine; I know I will never find anything like it in Nova Scotia, which is a shame! The homemade potato chips are also a must. And the beer... it was so good on a hot afternoon! We sat at a two-seater table facing out an open window. It was very nice, I will definitely return to this restaurant when I am in Quebec City again!

Good place to stop by :)
During the busy lunch time, we wait abou 30 min to get our food.if people are hungry or in rush, it might be better to see how it is crowded:)

“Burger Fix!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

A great little place right by Chateau Frontenac. We had Le Chic burgers (cheese, burger, lettuce, tomato and bacon) on a really GREAT brioche bun. Also had parmesan truffle fries on the side. That hit the spot!!!

“Awesome burger joint to help alleviate big hunger”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

After deciding to nix our reservation with Toast! due to the fact that it only serves apps, and people's comments about 200.00 + bills scared us away, we decided to eat cheap in the middle of the city.

Chic Shack is a great place if you're more than hungry. A tad pricey, but worth it considering anywhere you could go would be the same, or most likely more.

We ordered a couple of Robuste's with boozy floats (oh yes, so awesome), which we weren't expecting were more like slushies which we we thankful for after a hot day in the sun, the coq au vin poutine and the fries with basic seasoning. The bill came to 80.00 after tip, and that was fine with us after experiencing QC City's 150.00+ bills on other nights.

The service was prompt and friendly, the ambience was lively and exciting, and we had fun sitting at the window making faces and interacting with passerby's who were intent on digging into our plates with their eyeballs.

Chic Shack made for a fun and goofy experience that my wife and I needed after a long day of walking.

“Yummmmm!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

Delicious. So, so, so delicious. Best chocolate milkshake I've ever had- creamy, subtle and delicious... though expensive. The prices are a little expensive for a student, but honestly, it's worth it.

I had a chicken burger and it was again, the best chicken burger I've ever had. Delicious bun- kind of pretzel-y. Yummmmmm!
