I booked on line,I was very happy with Chez Hubert. The breakfasts were huge,Marjorie is a great cook, the beds were very comfy, Marjorie also was very helpful, the place its self is lovely, large lounge room with a TV with cable, as we stayed in a few cities in Canada and not all have TV s in the rooms or in the lounge rooms. The only thing we didn't have was access to tea or coffee at all which could have been set up in the dinning room or lounge room for guests to help themselves to either in the morning or late at night.

We really loved this place , excellent breafast made by the hostess she is a wonderful chef/cook the best pancakes, and waffles and french toast. This is a great location to the Chateau Fontenac and walled city. Allow yourself plenty of time to explore Quebec as there is more to see than the old city. A great sightseeing tour to go Montmerency Falls which includes the village of St Annes Basicalica, great food every where.

We had to go a few doors down upon arrival and a pleasant young lady took us up to our room. We were very unhappy to find there was no bathroom attached to our room. She said this was indicated on the web site. THat was not the case. We were told there would be someone there later. Not the case. I asked for a cup of coffee at 7:45am and was very rudely told that breakfast was not until 8am No help was offered as to where I could get one. I would certainly not recomment this B&B to anyone.
I was told there was WiFi but was not able to get a signal. I later found an unfriendly man who came out of the kitchen and wrote down a code on a paper. I was then able to connect, only in the common room. There was no signal in the bedroom.

Quebec City is a beautiful, though expensive place to spend a few days. I found Chez Hubert in line with our budget and with several positive reviews on Trip Advisor and we were very pleased with our stay. Marjorie is warm and inviting, the bed was fresh and comfortable, the room quiet, the location fantastic and the breakfast tasty and varied. Great eggs and toast, one day french toast and always a nice selection of fruit, cereal, vegetables, cheese, crackers and spreads. Tasty coffee and juice as well. Chez Hubert is a fantastic option for travelers in Quebec City! We would stay there again in a heart beat.

We had a fabulous stay at Chez Hubert, in a lovely historic house in Upper Old Town. The hosts were friendly and inviting, very helpful in providing suggestions of places to eat and visit. Full hot breakfast was excellent. The beds were comfortable, the house especially quiet. We had the room with a view. Very romantic!

I see my 16 year old grandson once a year, and decided that this year he should see New England and Quebec. Quebec was my mother's favorite city, and remains the favorite to my brother, sister in law, and sister, who visit far more often than I do. For scenery, it is perhaps one of the two most scenic cities in Eastern North America, with the other being Charleston, South Carolina, around Battery Park. Driving up from Massachusetts through Vermont, we had no trouble finding Chez Hubert. Follow Grande Allee, which changes names a few times, past the Parliament/Assembly building and down into the old city via the St. Louis gate, Rue Ursules is the second left. A few doors down on the left is Chez Hubert. We found the owners very gracious, the room ideal. Of interest, there were three bedrooms and two bathrooms on our floor, one large and spacious, and one smaller, which is handy when you travel with a teenager. The view from our balcony was excellent, and he lost no time in getting down to photos. The owner parked our gar in their garage, which lies outside, past the family kitchen in the rear, and we walked everywhere we went in Quebec. For what we paid, and Quebec levies a high VAT, the room was well worth the price. First rate location, absolutely great breakfast, comfortable and clean room, friendly hosts and hostesses, very nice (European) neighbors also enjoying their stay, and no Quebec City parking fees to worry about. Since we had arrived at the height of their summer festival, we did get to hear the music until late in the evening, and my Grandson particularly liked mingling among the young crowd. We spent the next two days doing typical Quebec stuff, which included the changing of the Guard at the citadel. Given the quality of Chez Hubert's breakfast, we missed breakfast at the National Assembly building, which I recommend for anyone not staying at Chez Hubert, and we walked the Plains of Abraham where the Fraser Highlander's scaled the Heights of Abraham, and basically just explored Quebec on foot. If you like to walk, you can easily do the entire old city from Chez Hubert's. We would have stayed longer, but I wanted to see Acadia and Northern Maine after 45 years absence. My grandson kept giving me barbed comments about how much better it would have been had we stayed at Chez Hubert for the next week and a half. Old guys rule!

We booked this room online, and when we arrived the owners were in France; Marion the sister of the owner was there to greet us. Great location easy walk to everywhere....We had a room on the 2d floor. Adjacent to our room with private bath was the sitting room and a balcony overlooking the street. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom adequate...note the showers were military style, tun only no curtain with hand held sprayer. Breakfast was good, although a vegetarians we couldn't enjoy the jambon ou pate cochon or bacon. Also there was not enough room for us tat the table so we tried to expedite the laggards but they would have none of it...need to be setup for everybody at once! Cost was $240 for 2 nights for 3 people, a tad high for the accommodations, but I had no idea what the rates were before we arrived...at $40 per person per night I suppose it breaks down OK...
