A little farther outside of the hot spots of downtown, and the old city that we were expecting, but this hotel was convinent to the main highways, had clean & nice appointments, and a nice complimentary breakfast.

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your comments. We are really proud of our healthy complimentary breakfast and we think that it is a good start of our guest day. We want to let you know that we are offering a free shuttle to the Old Quebec City during the summer season.

Best regards

The Hotel & Suites Le Dauphin Québec team

Went to the hotel for business as it was conveniently located close to where I needed to go. It also offered free Internet and free parking. Hotel seems to have been renovated recently. Very nice and clean room with a glass shower (heated floors in the bathroom just installed). Very comfortable bed, Large LCD TV and fridge in the room, even a computer to use the Internet in-room (although the speed of the access is enough to put you to sleep - improvement opportunity). Every employee I ran into were very nice and helpful. A small issue I had with the heating was quickly resolved. The complimentary full breakfast was surprisingly outstanding and the breakfast area was nice and cosy, with a gas fireplace.

Being located next to the highway makes it easy to get to and leave to go anywhere. The drawback is that your sorta hear a humming noise from the highway, but it's not loud enough to really bother. The hotel is very close to the area's biggest shopping center (Galeries de la Capitale), but abit far from the Old City, which is the most touristic area. If you have a car, it's a good option, as traffic in Quebec City is not all that bad.

Note that for tor the family travelers, there is no pool or play area for the children, but it's a great place overall.

We are very happy to learn that you had a pleasant stay in our establishment. To reach these high standards of quality and offer an outstanding service, it is necessary to obtain the comments of our guest. Moreover we wish to let you know that you can ask for a room on the Marais street (more quiet) instead of the highway side when you will make your next reservation with us. It will be a pleasure to welcome you again at our hotel during your passage in the Old Capital!

Rather nice hotel located in a commercial district somewhat off downtown next to the highway. A ride into old Quebec by car takes 10-15 minutes, however be prepared that parking costs are pretty high downtown. Breakfast was pretty lousy and the dining room had the atmosphere of a 1980s school cafeteria. If you need a stop when travelling along the highway it is ok, if you want to see Quebec better pick something in Downtown. Dining choices are much better there and you want have the noise from the highway ruining your sleep.

LeDauphin is in a very convenient location, near the highway that takes you to Ste. Anne De Beaupre, Montmoncery Falls, or Old Town. Also Cora's for breakfast is just 2 minutes away. The room was quiet and clean, plenty of workspace w/free internet access and a great bathroom. The staff helpful and friendly. Great bargain for a great city and free parking.

We were excited to get such a great price for a hotel in such an expensive city, especially when the price included breakfast!
The hotel is in a decent location. If you have a car, it takes only about 8-10 minutes to drive into the old city, and where parking was no problem and inexpensive, so we felt it was a great value.
The rooms are beautiful, new, and clean, just like the pictures on the website. We found the staff to be very helpful.

We stayed at the Dauphin Quebec while visiting family for Easter. First, the hotel is perfectly located; halfway between the old city (less than 10 minutes driving distance) and the large shopping mall (less than 5 mintues) and the Laurentians mountains (+/-10 minutes) AND right on the highway... Still the hotel and specially the room are VERY quiet : When you're inside and you walk out you realized that WOW, the highway is right there and very noisy, buit inside it is so quiet ! Front desk staff were BILINGUAL and extremely friendly... Parking is very convinient, spacious and safe. We are traveling with a 3-months old baby & we have her travelling crib and the room is very spacious. Room is very clean, confortable and very quiet. You also have a good size fridge in the room. Bathroom for room with KING-size bed have heated floor = WOW ! and the shower is roomy, clean and awesome ! I like firm bed and their beds are firm.

In the room, you have a computer with high-speed Internet access: absolutely awesome! You also have a VCR and a DVD player in the room as well as a safe. Continental breakfast is included from 5:30AM 'til 10AM (key words here is Continental) and for travellers in a hurry, it is just what you need: toasts, bagels, cheese, jam, couple of fruits, juice & coffee... If you want something else or wake up later, walk across the parking lot on the East side and you will find a Dunkin Donuts. There is also a lot of family restaurant within less tha 5 minutes of driving diatance After all, it is not the RITZ CARLTON !

For the price, with all those amenities included, this hotel is by far the best deal in the Quebec CIty area - we tried many other hotels before and this one, we would not hesitate to recommand it to anyone and we will certainly stay there every time we travel to Quebec City.

From the outside, Le Dauphin appeared identical to any number of business-class hotels. However, there were several nice features one would not expect in a business hotel. However, these extras were reflected in an above-average price.

Le Dauphin was located just off a highway, a few miles outside Vieux-Quebec, the touristy "old city," and the reason for my visit. There are numerous chain restaurants, gas stations, and discount stores located near the hotel, along with a shopping mall and movie cinema (check out Chez Ashton for some delicious, inexpensive "Quebecois fast food"). Normally, I would choose a hotel located more conveniently to the main attractions, but the 400th anniversary festivities during my visit meant that every "prime" location was booked months in advance. Le Dauphin proved a nice alternative, however.

The bilingual front-desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, providing maps and simple directions into the old city. While the old city is generally a quick and easy trip from the hotel (normally 10 to 15 minutes, I was told), the crowds in town for the 400th turned this trip into a 1 hour journey down crowded highways and narrow, pedestrian-filled streets. The crowds were not the fault of the hotel, but I report this to warn you if you are planning a trip in the height of the tourist season.

The room was business-class average except for the luxurious bathroom, which would have been at home in a 4- or 5-star hotel: granite counter tops, dark wooden built-ins, and modern stainless steel fixtures made this bathroom a star! Also, a computer and high-speed internet access is included with every room; I've stayed in many posh spots, but I've NEVER seen an in-room computer provided gratis! This feature would be ideal for a business traveler (or for a tourist looking for good local restaurants on Trip Advisor)! A free laundry facility is provided for guests to use as well. Convenient, but there is only 1 washer-and-dryer unit for the entire hotel (however, I did laundry late at night and never had to wait).

All things considered, the hotel is very nice, but I'm not sure it was worth the approx. $150/night that we paid. The computer and laundry facilities were convenient, but the hotel's location was not. However, if you are in Quebec on business, I highly recommend Le Dauphin to you!
