I stayed here in late August with my husband and two teenagers. We chose a family room and there was pleanty of space. It was very tastfully decorated. We loved the charm and character. We walked to the nightclub district at night and also to old Quebec City during the day. The room and hotel were spotless and the service was delightful - they were happy to make dinner reservations/suggestions, call taxis and store our luggage for a whole day after check-out. It's true what everyone says about the croissants! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our family's accommodations were fine, the location was great, quiet area and many restaurants nearby, short bus ride or walk to Old Québec, and very convivial innkeepers. However, what will remain our favorite memory of the Auberge aux Deux Lions is the warm, freshly-baked croissants that greeted us in the morning. What a lovely way to start the day! The rest of the breakfast buffet is very nice too, but ahhh, those croissants, made by of the innkeepers who is a French pastry chef. What luck!

My wife and I stayed with our 2 young children. The experience couldn't have been better. Our room was clean and the hospitality was great. The owners and staff were so very nice. If you stay hear I highly recommend the breakfast in the morning, if for no other reason than the homemade croissants. The location was great. If we make it back to Quebec I wouldn't entertain staying anywhere else.

The service was top notch. The room was perfect for our family and the croissants were, in the words of our 10 year old, "exquisite". While the Old City was a 15 minute walk away it was not difficult and it was enjoyable to see parts of the city sometimes Ignored by other travelers.

We had a lovely dinner in the neighborhood at a price well below what we would have paid in the city center. When we return to Quebec we will certainly stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and service was good. We found the room to be smaller than we expected for a triple room and the bathroom was very small. As our room was basement level it was also quite dark and a bit cold. One member of staff spoke very good English but apart from one incident we did not have any communication problems with the other members of staff. On arrival we were asked to pay for the 3 night stay. I was told that my credit card was not being accepted so I contacted my bank in the UK (on my mobile phone). They advised that nothing was even reaching them and on looking at the hotel's card reader on the next attempt it stated that the modem was not connecting (in English). Location is very good for restaurants and it is a pleasant walk into the old part of Quebec City.

Lovely place and a 15-20 walk to the walled city of Old Quebec! We stayed here just one night, but were given lots of great information from the reception lady and were treated warmly by the owners. Wonderful breakfast with delicious croissants, cheeses, meats and preserves. We had been to Quebec before and stayed in the upper part of the old city with a view of the water, but this place was very old and rundown compared to Auberge des Deux Lions. We also visited the Rue St. Jean near the auberge and found more reasonably priced and authentic restaurants. They have on site parking if you reserve ahead of time for $15 a day. Very friendly and accommodating with great wifi as well.

We spent 3 days at the Deux Lions and were so delighted with the hospitality of the staff/owners. We enjoyed their fresh breakfast each morning which included fresh made croissants and jam/jelly, boiled eggs, yogurt, sweet bread, cereals and juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The cost was $9.50 but well worth it to get the day started in such a nice way. I thank Elaine, Jose and Philipe for a most pleasant stay in their lovely inn. The room was small but most adequate for 3 adults and was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I looked to be recently remodeled.
I would stay here again if I'm ever in Quebec City!!
We were able to walk everywhere we went except for Cirque du Soliel and it was a short taxi ride at night. Parking on the premises was a real plus.
