“Incredible French architecture!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

What a fascinating, beautiful place. The Old "Town" is the only walled city in North America. It's set high above the lower portions. We stayed right in the heart of it, with many great restaurants and wonderful shops. Great clothing there. Bought a year's worth! Be sure to take the open air bus ride to get your orientation first. Many beautiful places, parks, statues and great buildings. Save yourself the airfare to Europe, just go here!

“Wonderful Area”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

It is just a beautiful area filled with great shops and restaurants... looks like Europe. Easy to walk around in. The people in the area are very friendly. Great art buys throughout the city,

“Excellent old charm city, just walking around is wonderful and the people couldn't be nicer.”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

There is nothing to dislike and loads to like, especially if you just like to walk around and look at all the buildings and the people.

“Take a walk back in time.”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

I will never regret going to Quebec City and hope to visit again. The weather was not particularly co-operative but that did not dampen our desire to get the feel of the old city. We stayed right on the edge in site of one of the gates just a few steps from our hotel. We wandered through the streets and if one closed ones eyes could imagine it as it was hundreds of years ago.
We had taken a tour by bus so sort of knew where we were going and it great to see many places in a short time but even better to be up close and personal. We made our was to the Finicular which is a railway that goes up and down between the upper and lower town. It made it easy to explore both.
Lots of shops, restraunts and just neat stuff to see. There is a 3 D mural on a building in old town that is a must see and a must photograph.
Unfortunately we did not have time for a carriage ride but it was a delight to see them taking people around the old cobbled streets. From my window in the hotel in the morning there was a parade of these carriages going to their terminal and it was a lovely sight.
Sometimes it is the places you never think of making a destination that one enjoys the most. That was definately my experience with Old Quebec City.

“Clean and Safe”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

What a wonderful blend of museums, churches, restaurants (LOTS of them) and just plain areas to poke. Felt very safe walking, even at night.
