The Hotel Sainte-Anne is a perfect place to stay in Quebec City. The hotel common areas and rooms are very clean. The rooms are very inviting and unique with brick walls. The staff is very nice and knows a lot about the city's restaurants and activities. In addition to all these great qualities, the Hotel Sainte-Anne is steps away from the Frontenac and the Lower Town area. It is the ideal location. Be sure to travel with someone you are very close with though... the two bathrooms we saw did not allow for much privacy. Overall, a great hotel!

We spent 4 nights at this little hotel in November, off-season. The price was good, not over-priced like some neighboring small hotels, and we were in room 202, second floor, nice view of the street.. The bed was really comfortable, the heat was adjustable and the windows opened. We were quite comfortable the whole time. The room and bathroom were spotless. AND.......there is an elevator!!!
Service was fine. The young ladies at the desk were very helpful and polite. Kudos to Stephanie for her great service.
We, like many other guests, were not crazy about the large window in the shower. Yes, it is wavy and frosted glass, BUT you really can see in. Our last night, the shower leaked onto the floor into the room, not the bathroom. It is one of those hand-held, adjustable types and perhaps the water just hit the wall wrong. I called down and the desk clerk promptly came up with towels for mopping water up off the rug. No problem. Just a warning...be careful with that shower head!
But I do have to wonder what the designers were thinking when they came up with this type of bathroom. There is really no place to put your stuff at the sink, either. Chic and modern? Yes, Practical? No.
Also, there is not a lot of room to put your clothes. The 12" "closet" at the side of the tv is not adequate and there is only one suitcase stand. There are no drawers, either. Perhaps the owners could buy some folding suitcase stands for the rooms. It would make living out of a suitcase a lot easier.
Continental breakfast was fine, nothing great but satisfactory and certainly adequate. I wished they had varied the selections a few times because after 4 days of the exact same thing, it gets old. Chewy croissants, packaged muffins, breads, the usual stuff.
All in all, we had a great stay and will be back.

Visited the city during World Cup. Not intended to spend a lot of time in hotel, therefore location was more important as anything else. If you adopt the same approach and book it, then unlikely you would be disappointed. This is not a traditional hotel, rather a restaurant with living quarters above. But then, hey.. you are in charming city, right in the middle of everything.....

Thank you all at Sainte Anne. I travel 20 days a month and have spent more than half my life in Hotels. But the experience here was something out of this world. Something unique. Everything was so perfect. The people are warm and helpful. Special mention for Stephanie at the front desk. I have never met a more helpful person. Thank you Stephanie for all the help you gave me during my stay. Wish all hotels have people like her. The room was awesome. The showers were amazing and unique. The entire Hotel is so modern with every small detail taken care of. Thanks again for a wonderful and the most comfortable experience ever

Location, location, location -- this hotel has it, and is comfortable and clean to boot. It's on a lovely, bustling pedestrian street a block from the Funicular to the Old Port. It's across the square from the Chateau Frontenac, and close to restaurants and shops. I booked it almost entirely based on its location inside the walled city, and it was better than expected -- a quick walk to almost any of Quebec's major tourist attractions.

The hotel only has 28 rooms, and the front desk is almost more part of its restaurant than a traditional hotel lobby. Our room was quite small, but clean and neatly modern. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and had an amazing walk-in shower. Staff were impersonal and disinterested, but that wasn't too much of a bother -- in the tiny sitting room on the first floor, we found a stash of tourist books and guides that were very helpful.

On both ends of this trip we stayed at "nicer" hotels in Montreal (4 or 4.5 stars) but the Sainte-Anne was the real highlight , accommodations-wise. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Small hotel, with small, but attractive rooms. Bathroom a bit cramped and floor not very clean. Beds comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent location in the heart of the old city. Business meeting room quite small. Wifi weak in places.

The Hotel Sainte-Anne is positioned facing a pedestrian only street right in the centre of old Quebec city. It is ideally situated opposite the Chateau Frontinac . Rooms were adequate rather than opulent. We found that there was little to no service. There is an elevator , but you will have to manhandle your luggage along narrow corridors to your room after negotiating a tiny reception area on the ground floor which also doubles as a food delivery trail for wait staff. No assistance for heavy luggage appears to be available. Reception staff are friendly but communication between various personnel taking up and departing duty is non existent.
We had to arrange for a paid late checkout four times. Even then we were arked on 3 occasions when we would be checking out.
Would recommend on the basis of position only!!!
