Description: If these stone walls could talk... These unwavering witnesses to the past would undoubtedly have delicious stories to tell. As they are not very talkative, they left a few clues behind. The tea tins, wooden boxes, old bottles and rice bags from another era recreate the ambiance of a general store, reminding us that food is part of a tradition at 160 Saint-Paul Street. With the creative cuisine of Chef Dominic Jacques, winner on the television show "Les chefs" in 2012, it has evolved from its humble beginnings as the Rioux and Pettigrew wholesale grocer to today's bistro-style restaurant. Inspired from our roots and flavors from abroad, its cuisine is authentic and creative. Rioux and Pettigrew's canned goods have given way to fresh, in season foods with mouth-watering savors. As for the aromas, once locked away in barrels, metal boxes or cotton bags, they now embalm the entire restaurant. Become part of our history. Take a look at our menu and let us charm you with timeless essences.

“Nice find”

Food quality is good, especially the scallop and salmon tartar. Small portion though. A bit let down by the over cooked filet mignon which supposed to be medium. We also enjoyed sharing the chocolate brownie for dessert

You cant beat this place for its location near the old town area. Very pretty inside and a great outdoor area. We had salads, duck and scallops. All delicious with top notch service.

“Neat Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

One of the best bars in Quebec City. Friendly staff and prompt service. Located a short walk from Mill Image and Cirque du Soliel, so it's a perfect place for dinner or a couple of beers while you wait for show time.

“Welcome addition to the Quebec food scene”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

The service was impeccable. The deconstructed lobster ravioli was playful and delicious. The duck was rich and savoury. The chef presented fennel with the duck three ways: grilled; roasted; and puréed. His food educates the palate.
