I had carefully researched other readers' reviews on Trip Advisor before selecting this restaurant for dinner. My husband and I were thankful for my research and the feedback from others. Upon arriving on time for our reservation, we were promptly seated at our table and given menus. Soon after the restaurant's manager (we learned later) suggested wine choices, after we asked, and we decided to order the Le Deux Copains, a red wine from France. It was delicious and not overly expensive, and we have added it to our list of special wines. I ordered the salad of the day and my husband ordered the French onion soup. Neither one of us was disappointed. My salad accompanied by a fish cake was expertly prepared with fabulous sauces and was delicious. My husband had never experienced such a delectable French onion soup with exquisite cheese. Next I ordered the bison cheek and he the veal steak special of the day with foie gras. Well, let me tell you that the bison cheek melted in my mouth with wonderful flavor, while my husband who had never tried foie gras now is a fan. These were both fabulous choices and just the right amount of food. For dessert, my husband ordered strawberry shortcake with fir mousse, and I ordered the macaroons. Both were fabulously tasty. When we left and were walking down the wonderful Quebec City streets, we agreed that the meal was our favorite of Quebec and that we would certainly return. The food made us feel great - not overly full, but healthily satisfied and delighted with the experience that we had enjoyed. The service was exceptional - great manager and server (Anna).
