We only had a beer there but what a great place! If you go, make sure you go inside and see the interior, it is amazing. I believe it is one of the oldest pubs in Quebec City - it certainly looks that way!!

This pub in the Basse-Ville area is a great place for a pre-dinner drink. They have five local draft beers. The amber bitter was wonderful. We could have eaten here, and I read on Trip Advisor that they do good snacks, but we wanted a proper meal so moved on. However, I would have been just as happy sampling all the beers and trying the onion soup which seemed to be going down a treat on another table. We will be back.

Loved this place! Stopped in on a cold snowy afternoon and was welcomed by a nice fire and cozy atmosphere. The food is limited but excellent! The French onion soup and maple beer was amazing. If you are in the area don't pass this one up!

This was a great place to try Quebec's wonderful selection of beers, including ciders, draughts and bottled microbrews, especially with the very reasonably priced sampler that included 2-oz glasses of four different draughts. The building itself is very old with beautiful vaulted stone ceilings, and the history of it is written on the menu. A very enjoyable late-night stop for drinks and snacks.

We are onion soup fanatics. This onion soup had to be the best onion soup we ever had, not only in Quebec City, but anywhere. This is a must place to visit. Owner caters to NFL fans: only place in town proudly advertising NFL championship games on outside board. Owner makes soup himself and, although his english may be a bit broken, he is a fantastic host and a pleasure to speak to. He even had board games for people that one to hang out. Can't recommend more.
