My boyfriend and I traveled to Quebec City and Tadoussac this summer. We stayed for 2 nights at Gite du Paris while in Quebec City. Situated practically right behind the Chateau Frontenac, the Gite du Paris is in a prime location. You can walk EVERYWHERE. There is a depanneur just a few blocks away at which we got snacks and water throughout the day. We visited Musee Erico (chocolate museum) and JA Moisson (old old grocery store) on Saint Jean street. We had dinner at a wonderful restaurant call Cafe de la Paix one night. All of this was within walking distance :)

Oh, and the breakfasts are great! Buffet style :D

We stayed at the Gite de Paris for 4 days in August and found the place absolutely fine. The room was big enough for 2 adults and our 8 year old child; the breakfast was excellent and the location brilliant - just a short walk from the centre of the old city, but in a very quiet street.

When we arrived there was nobody at the hotel to meet us or speak to; details of our room were left in an envelope pinned to the inside door. From other reviews I know that this has annoyed some, but we didn't mind; the advantages outweighed this.

I must say, my wife and I could not decide if while visiting Quebec City we should stay in a hotel or B&B. After agonizig over it we decided to choose B&B, Gite de Paris. This proved to be an excellent choice. Gite de Paris is located in a heart of Old Quebec , a skip and a hop from all historic places we wanted to see and in a short distanse from many exquisit restaurants where we enjoyed famous French cousine. The room we stayed in had a very warm decor, which added to our enjoyment of our trip to Quebec. The young lady, our hostess, was very friendly and was very helpful in planning our daily activities.

Oh yes, breakfests were fantastic.

We are planning to visut Gite de Paris again next year.
