This boutique hotel gives you a good feel the minute you step through it doors. I arrived by train and it was a 3 minute walk from the station. Located on a busy street but quiet enough once you were inside your room and just off the busiest section of the road. The room was beautifully appointed with very modern amenities, crisp sheets, and very comfortable beds and pillows. The size of the room was very generous and there was even an area to sit and enjoy your delicious continental breakfast brought every morning just outside your door. The desk staff also were very helpful with good recommendations on walking paths and restaurants. You are situated on the edge of the heart of the lower town shopping district and an 8-10 minute walk to the upper town central square and Le Chateau Frontenac. Overall a very pleasant experience on all levels.

Travelling to Quebec City often for business and for pleasure, I always try to stay at a different hotel. It's in a good location for the summer, but is less convenient in the winter as you have the long and steep côte d'Abraham street to walk up to access most the interesting parts of the old city.

Qualifying it as a B&B is a stretch. While they do offer a continental breakfast delivered to your room, it's terribly skimpy (one very small, stale croissant and a yogourt cup). This hotel, like all others, charges a premium for being classified, even if informally, as a B&B. At 270 $ for what amounts to a tiny and oddly-shaped room…I was annoyed. In-room coffee is good.

I've been twice. It's a bit on the pricey side for what you get, but the staff is amenable, and the view (if you're lucky to the on the marina side of the building) of the water is great from the upper floors.

My husband and I went to Quebec City in October 2010 for our six month anniversary. We chose this hotel because of it's close proximity to the restaurants and sites in Quebec City. The hotel was fabulous. The breakfast baskets in the morning are delicious - a flaky croissant every morning, yum!

The hotel had a historic but modern feel to it, the amenities were great and all the fixtures were updated. The front desk employees were very helpful and made dinner reservations and coordinated taxis for us. There was a very cozy, but small fireplace in the lobby that was very pretty.

Our room was large, nicely appointed, very quiet, with comfortable bedding. Justine, at the front desk was a gem - very pleasant and informative. Breakfasts are left hanging outside your door in the am and, while not fancy, are generally well-done and get you up and out with no fuss. Location is just outside the wall, so access to the core of this very walkable city is excellent. We were directed to (and had reservations made by Justine) to several great restaurants: Restaurant Parmasean (a very lively, fun and delicious Italian stop) and L'Echaude, a very nice French restaurant. Recommended!

Very clean room, located in lower town with no much night life around though in a reasonable walking distance to old city if weather is not too cold.
Breakfast is served at door 7:00 am every morning. Not much of variety and by the third day, it is boring. If you are not awake that early, expect to eat very cold pasteries.

Room has DVD with free movie rentals where you can exchange at the front desk. Nice selection though not very up to date.

Tips: Esso station in front of the hotel withva store for snake and light sandwiches if you are stuck hungry at the middle of night.
Pizza Mug, a great pizza across the rail station and 5 minutes walk from the hotel, tax and tips are included
(the only place that does it according to the locals).

Overall, a very nice place with attention to details and not bad location. Will be back if there is a promotion on price

I chose this hotel because of Trip Advisor recommendations. I booked room 303 King Delux for $146. US per nit. I felt safe, comfortable, got to know the city well in the seven days I spent here. All is walkable.
This was my first "solo" trip... not on any tour... and I loved every minute of the complete independence
I felt. Hotel provides continental breakfast (basket with fresh croissants etc) on door hook every morning..
Nice touch. AND free wifi in rooms...plenty of restaurants, shops all around to keep you busy. Chauteau Frontenac, Circular restaurant atop Loews Concord, buggy rides, funnicular all right there. I would recommend it highly! My stay Oct 4 -11, 2010... Fall colors were great!

Stayed here for part of my honeymoon in August of 2009. Hotel was very quiet and cozy. Room service was phenomenal and their breakfast baskets at the door in the morning were charming. Hotel staff was extremely friendly. Not far from sightseeing, easier if you have a car. Overall magnificent place to stay, highly recommend.
