“20,000 tons of snow 500 tons of ice”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

DO NOT get the cheaper $13, 8pm tickets. You can't get in the rooms and don't get the informational tour. This is only one of two (northern Sweden is the other - and original) ice hotels in the world. Got there at 2 and got tickets for 3pm english tour. Walked through all the rooms. Including bar, chapel, etc. Then took tour. Worth it!

“cool....! literally”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

fascinating and fun, great light show, really unique. out of town, we drove (iphone directions were perfect). About $17 a piece. We went late so it was cheaper and didn't see bedrooms but did see public areas. Definitely recommended unless you've seen lots of ice hotels before!

“Once in a lifetime experience!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Everything at this location was great and well thought out. I hope to return someday to see this place as it changes every year a little bit. Even if you can't afford to stay overnight like we did, come see it if you are anywhere near Quebec City between January and early March. If you do stay overnight, I recommend bringing flip-flops so you can run from the heated building to the outdoor hot tubs and sauna! So much fun, very exciting and the whole experience was quite a thrill.

“Overpriced admission, but worth seeing, anyway!”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

First of all - we all enjoyed visiting the Hotel de Glace. It's undeniably beautiful, and the construction is amazing! I would recommend doing what we did - arrive in the late afternoon to catch some of the sun shining through the ice, and stay until twilight so to appreciate the lovely lighting. The artistry in the rooms is quite remarkable.
On the other hand - to charge over 50 dollars for a family to just walk around the place is excessive. Admission at half that cost would have been more reasonable for what one gets. I don't regret going, but also can't shake that the admission rates are a joke pulled on all us tourists!

Went there for the opening night disco. The place is gorgeous, lots of interesting things to look at. I plan to return for a night stay, and to just hang out.
