My husband and I had a wonderful three night stay at Maison du Fort. It is a beautifully restored historic hotel furnished in antiques and lovely traditional decor. Our room, no. 10, was spacious, very clean and quiet. It couldn't have been more charming with deep set window with gorgeous views, original exposed brick and block walls. An excellent location, walking distance to the finest restaurants, quaint shops and historic sights. The host and owner, Marielle, made our stay in The Old City complete. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Marielle for making our stay so lovely!

The two of us were on a roadtrip along Eastern Canada and found this gem through Tripadvisor, for our stay in Quebec City. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we decided to stay here again 10 days later, on our way back home.

Very clean, lovely decor, and wonderful host/owner, Marielle. I can't stress enough how fantastic Marielle was. She gave us helpful advice and was warm and approachable every morning.

We initially stayed in the Room 11, which was the entire fourth floor. It was lovely, very large and charming. The entire house is beautiful, with a European feel and decor.

The location was perfect, in old Quebec, and within walking distance to everything.

We recommend this hotel and would stay here again, and plan on recommending to all our friends and family. Thank you Marielle!!

My wife and I stayed here for the second time. We will certainly be back again. Marielle is a terrific host, providing great baked good in the morning and terrific advice on things to do. The house is spotlessly clean and also quiet. It's just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area so that it's very quiet, but still conveniently located where you are only a few minutes walk from getting to all the restaurants and shops. The pricing is also very reasonable. We highly recommend a stay here!

We spent two nights in this beautifully restored house and it far exceeded our expectations for the price. Our room (number 6) was HUGE and beautifully appointed with 2 double beds - a little cozy for a couple used to a king but we needed the two beds as there were three of us. The room also features 4 big window boxes with inside and outside windows that offered complete quiet, a large comfy sitting area, and a nice roomy bathroom. Set on a charming, quiet side street with little traffic, the hotel feels tucked away but is only a 2 minute walk to the Chateau and river. Marielle, the owner and innkeeper, is terrific. She is really friendly, gave us great advice and provided delicious coffee, juice and baked goods in the morning. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

Loved our two day stay in this charming, historical old home. Highly recommend room ten....top floor (no elevator and no luggage lift!) . But, once you are in this gorgeous room with incredible views if St. Lawrence River and Chateau Frontenac, you will be glad you selected this room. Marielle, the owner, is so charming and helpful. She arranged for our csbs and made excellent meal recommendations. The location of this hotel is perfect for walking around thr most beautiful areas of Quebec city. Across the street from Governors park, Frontenac, Terrasse Dufferin...right behind the hotel is The Citadel and The Plains of Abraham. You are only two blocks from the best restaurants in the city. A light continental breakfast is provided in the morning, it would be a nice touch if yogurt or cheese or a hard boiled egg were options to make the breakfast more substantial for those of us who like to tackle the day early, but there are full breakfast restaurants within two blocks. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

What a great place to stay in a lovely quaint town. We had two rooms booked between the four of us.. as it was a quiet time of the year, we had the place to ourselves the first night and the host Marielle, offered us the choice of the rooms at no extra charge.. obviously not a normal situation but very thoughtful.

Marielle was fantastic and very helpful with anything we needed while we were in town. Her freshly backed goods for breakfast were a great way to start the day. Anyone looking to experience the real Quebec City, and stay out of the chain hotels, this is the place to stay. Would highly recommend 5/5
