Beautiful location in the heart of Old Fort Quebec City
Stone brick manor hotel that really has not modern amenities, no phone in roon, no elevator to third floor with spiral stairways. It feels like you have been transported back to 1849. Really cool and rooms on Third Floor are nice with very small bathrooms but who cares when you are living the past!! Location, Location location.....wife and I really felt like we were in Europe again. Internet wi-fi not able to get on 3rd floor but who cares, iphone works.

Room tip: great charming hotel in stone 1849 manor rooms, just in the heart of Old Fort Quebec

We stayed for two days and found the hotel perfectly located for our day trips to old Quebec. Cute, European feel to the rooms and loved the stone walls. Wifi is weak on the third floor but works pretty well if you lay the phone on the floor. Staff was friendly.

The hotel is just adequate and expensive for what you get. All that you really need is there but nothing more.
There is no lift/elevator and the Wi-Fi is only available at reception. Parking has to be at a nearby municipal car park for $18 a day. One can hear the muffled sounds of other inmates in their rooms.
It is ideally located just inside the old city walls and in easy walking distance of most attractions – the citadel, Plains of Abraham; Frontenac boardwalk; the cafes on Grand Allee etc .

Tired little B&B, like they don't care anymore. Decorated from the 90's and 00's mixed, not to the period, not new. Room and bathroom were wiped down but not clean, some mold in the bathroom tub. Worse was only one shampoo/soap, a dispenser in the shower that was empty and kept falling off the wall. To wash your hands you had to reach across the room into the tub to get some soap. No glasses to get a drink of water, etc, etc. Would have given it a 3 if it was priced cheaper. If you pay a discount, you expect a discount.

On paper and at first glance this hotel and room#9 in particular have all the amenities one expects in a tourist type guest house. On the plus side we were able to reserve, the front door is secured after 9pm, great care was taken to create "atmosphere" by show casing the old wall along the stair case. The room was clean enough, there is AC, 3 piece shower, double bed, TV, small bureau desk and coffee maker. The best feature is the location in the heart of old Quebec. Now on the down side: room #9 is so small there is no space to function once 2 adults with 2 small suitcases are inside. We could not both be moving within the room at the same time. The bathroom is very tight with no space for ones toiletries like your toothbrush for example. Finallly, the window in our room is also the fire escape, possibly for the entire floor as a "Sortie" sign was mounted above the window. Some times you get what you pay for but this place had the audacity to be charging $145.00/night(with taxes) Maybe at half that price we would appreciate the charm.

Room tip: Avoid room #9 unless you get a screaming deal and you weight 150lbs or less.I suspect rooms 3+6 are of similar configuration.
