My husband and I spent our ten year anniversary at the hotel and the service, decor, and food was all impeccable. From the moment we checked in to the day we left we were greeted and attended to with warm genuine smiles and attention to detail. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. The bathroom had heated flooring which was such a nice touch! Breakfast, and dinner were both wonderful experiences, with delicious food. We had after dinner drinks in the lounge each night next to a roaring fire. We have travelled all over the world and have never experienced such a perfect accommodation. I cannot find a single fault, and it is apparent that they hold themselves to the highest of standards. We will definitely be back to lovely Quebec City and this beautiful hotel!

The St Lawrence as it widens is one of the most awe inspiring sights for a traveller to eastern canada. This archieological sight by the rivers edge lacks the birdeyes view of the fairmont however makes up for it with a wonderful design; mimialistic decor and a supurb restuarant.
I stayed in one of the historical suites which I have to say was a little over the top and would have preferred something more minimal. However the public areas of the hotel are a wonderful mix of old and new. A stones throw from the museuam and a short walk to the fortress.

Room Tip: Avoid the historical suites unless you are taking it to the max!

Our family of 5 have been to Auberge Saint-Antoine 4 times and the hotel is one of our favourites. Just park your car and explore old Quebec City. The hotel is close to restaurants and attractions. We spent 2 nights, the room was clean and quiet, and the staff are friendly. Artifacts from the hotel excavation are on display in the lobby and outside of the rooms. When we are in Quebec City we will stay here again.

we've stayed many times in Quebec City, usually at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac or the Hilton, and thought we would try this one for a change since it wasn't much more expensive than the Chateau. We were just stopping in for one night while driving from Ontario ot New Brunswick. We loved it, service was great and location is perfect. We will definately come back (for more than one night next time!).

It's not as easy to get to as the Hilton though. the heavy traffic down in the lower town slowed our arrival by about 15 minutes I think. looked like there was some big event going on as people were streaming to the water front.

My husband and I spent four nights at this hotel and couldn't have found a better place to stay to suit our needs. I need a quiet room and we never heard other guests or any traffic. The room was meticulously clean. The front desk staff was very courteous. Charles, the concierge, helped us many times with numerous suggestions and made restaurant reservations. Charles, the bartender, became our friend. Breakfast at Panache, their restaurant, was delicious. The hotel was located close to many restaurants and sightseeing places.

Room Tip: For us, I asked for a quiet room which we received.

The hotel itself is just amazingly in tune with creature comforts and service. The bathroom (really a suite in itself) was perfect - the best shower in creation, the largest soaking tub I've ever seen (which induced me to soak which I never do), 2 full sinks, etc. The room is lovely with a comfortable king, step out terrace, and a first in hotels - a truly cushiony large swivel rocker and ottoman. The concierge was super helpful in every regard including wonderful restaurant recommendation and reservations. The clerks and valet staff were extremely polite and efficient, great location to walk both lower and upper cities - the perfect hotel, until you make the mistake of having dinner in the hotel restaurant, Panache, which was to be fair wonderful for breakfast. I will review Panache in a separate review but will only say that the hotel was not responsive regarding the shortcomings of its own restaurant and that loses them a star. One other minor flaw - although well kept the housekeeping staff did forget tissues and toilet paper one night.
