There are so many nice things to say about this place, I don't know where to start!

First, bear in mind that the Auberge St-Antoine is a member of Relais & Chateaux. That says it all. Stringent criteria of uniqueness, excellence and quality must be continuously attained to keep their good standing in this nec plus ultra fellowship of the worldwide tourism industry.

We were there for four days and the doormen/valets only had to ask me my name once when I checked in my car. Every time I returned, by foot or by car, I was greeted by my name! (I gave them a few pocket-sized pictures of a former Canadian Prime Minister. Maybe that helped to jog their memory :) )

The room was awesome! We had a King room with terrace. Just imagine sitting out there towards the end of a sunny afternoon sipping champagne while we're admiring the view of the St-Laurent. Inside, there is plenty of space, heated floors in the (huge) bathroom, dimmable lights all over the place, electronic signals for do not disturb (With another switch next to the bed). I was told that there are not two rooms with the same decoration theme.

Location, location, location... The hotel is right in the middle of one of North America's gastronomical paradises. I'm talking about what the locals call 'Le Vieux' (refers to.the old part of the city). It's a place full of dining rooms, bistros or terraces run by independent owners and/or local celebrity chefs. Their creativity to compete and surpass each other makes this area a dreamland for the fine palate! Most Quebec City museums are within walking distance, the Agora outdoor stage for events is just across the street.

And remember, that when we say Auberge St-Antoine, we're NOT talking budget travel. But the experience was worth every penny!

Room Tip: When they say 'balcony', they mean it! Ours was about 15x15ft with a stunning view on the S...

Auberge Saint-Antoine is one of the nicest, if not the nicest place, I have ever visited. My wife and I have stayed here 3 times. The rooms are perfect. Panache' offers fine dining at its very best.

We went for a trip to Quebec city. Unfortunately for us we did not stay there. What a shame. We found the place because we were looking for an excellent restaurant and somebody suggested that one: Le Panache. This is a restaurant of the Auberge. Everything was excellent, hard to find any better, Service, food, atmosphere, everything has more than you can imagine. When we saw on their internet site the look of the rooms, we were sure we had missed something great. Better luck next, cause there will be a next time. So if you're looking for a first class hotel with an exceptionnal restaurant and cuisine, do yourself a favor and go there. Of course it's a bit pricy, but you'll have your money worth without a doubt.

Room Tip: If you take a room there, make sure to go to the reataurant Le Panache at least once.

We stayed in the " printemps" room on June 8th. The room was very romantic, with beams, brick walls ,a glass shower and a "bath on feet". We enjoyed dinner in The Panache restaurant with drinks in the cosy bar beforehand. Food was excellent and the wine matching out of the ordinary! The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay , made us feel at home and welcomed. We would do it again any time!

Staff met us at door upon arrival, very quick check in right to our room. Front desk staff asked our time preferences on room service and turn down service, which we found to be a nice touch. There is also a do not disturb light that is used, as opposed to a hanging door sign. The room was very clean. Bathroom was amazing! Nice heated floors and a great shower fixture! The bed was very comfortable.
Hotel is located a block away from the Old City and just down the hill from downtown area.
Concierge helped us in getting maps and also setting us up for an afternoon cruise on the St. Lawerence with AML Cruise line. Wonderful experience!
Overall it was a wonderful relaxing stay. Very friendly staff and in a prime location.

First class accommodations and staff. Walking distance to everything beautiful Québec City has to offer. We were greeted at the front desk by Martin Dufour, front office manager. He was fabulous throughout our stay, as was Lydie Marie, reservations manager. Our top floor room #609 was lovely, with a two-step up walk to a huge terrace, with a perfect view of the Frontenac Hotel. (Why anybody would want to stay there after experiencing the Auberge is a mystery to me!) The Weds. evening reception was a wonderful surprise, with friendly staff there to greet you with outstanding hot hors d'oeuvres and cocktail of choice. We loved a particular CD that we played on the Boze in our room and they even mailed it to me, when I inquired about purchasing it. A fabulous overall experience and we'll definitely return!

Room Tip: The sixth floor is the top and only floors five and six have outside terraces.
