Great bread, very good sandwiches, great pastries, efficient line, great value. High end Parisian quality for decent prices and in North America.

“Great place to grab food for a trip to Montmorency Falls”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

My wife and I picked up a couple tasty loaves of bread before renting a car to visit the Falls, Ste Anne de Beaupre Basilica and Ile d'Oleans. Food is a good price and delicious. Sure it's a chain, but it's a good one.

Thank you so much for your review ! We hope you had a good time visiting the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and l'Île d'Orléans.

Paillard is in fact a genuine family business that started here, in the heart of Quebec City. We currently have two restaurants, the other one being situated at Les Galeries de la Capitale, also in Quebec.
The loaves of bread you bought were indeed handmade here (with love!) by our artisan bakers !

“Coffee Shop with Good Food”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

Quebec has many good value meal offers at lunchtime (e.g. three courses for $20 plus tax) which are worth trying. So, having eaten well in the middle of the day, Paillard is good for breakfast and a light evening meal. It's not fancy, but the pastries, salads, and panninis are good quality.

“Excellent place and service”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

It's a restaurant/cafeteria that serves excellent french breakfast, with fresh baguettes and berry jam. There is also a great selection of salads. All the food is being made at the restaurant, everything is fresh and tasteful. This place is great for having a good breakfast, or brunch, or even light lunch and/or dinner. I recommend french breakfast, salmon sandwich and Mediterranean salad, but I believe other choices are excellent too. This place is highly yield in my map of QC.

“Wow”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Felt like I was at City Bakery n NYC. Happened uppn this beautiful bakery by accident while strolling the streets one morning. Only had a chance to sample the croissant, the bun with bacon and the bun with black olives and feta. All three were to die for! Wish we had this bakery n Toronto. The atmospere with it's long banquet style tables is very inviting.
