Stayed at Le Chateau de Pierre June 12th-15th. The lobby has character and charm and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It is located in a great location in Old Quebec, within walking distance to everything. The breakfast included in the rate was more then adequate. All in all the hotel is a great value for the money.

The hotel is pretty and clean and the owners are thoughtful and helpful. the location is a stone's throw from the Frontenac. Parking is extra in a garage 1.5 blocks away (short walk). But the room was tiny. So tiny that the bathroom sink was in the bedroom and to use the toilet you had to back up as turning around was impossible.

Room Tip: if you are petite, this is the place for you

What a great place to stay!

Location: A block from the terrace, the Frontenac, and the citadel. In the heart of the upper city, but on a lovely, quiet street.

Ambiance: an old English chateau. Our room had a garden view - to the back - so it was very quiet. The garden is a nice place to sit and read. Our room was surprisingly large, but I do think the sizes and views vary. The room was very clean and well appointed. It was nice to have air conditioning. Breakfast was good, but for something special we ate out.

Service: a lovely and helpful couple run the chateau. They added to making our stay an absolute delight.

I highly recommend the Pierre and would stay there again

I stayed there recently with 5 friends. We had 3 rooms in the hotel and it was a great experience. The rooms were good sized, but two of the rooms had very small bathrooms which caused a lot of laughs. Min and her husband and staff couldn't have been more accommodating. She helped us with directions, ideas for dining and things to do. It was a wonderful experience. This is my second visit to Quebec City and I love it. I would not hesitate to stay at Le Chateau de Pierre again. They do not have elevators so carrying luggage up to the second or third floor may be a problem if you are not a light packer. The bathrooms have all the amenities you will need, beds are comfortable and although it is close to everything we wanted to see and do in the city the rooms were very quiet. Breakfast offered a variety of breads, ham, hard boiled eggs, fruit and cereal.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are easier to reach with luggage. Room 17 opens to a nice courtyard.

This small hotel it's nice enough to catch us ... small room but with enough love from the owner ... that makes it fit every thing we need.
As soon as we arrive she notice our 3 big luggages and proposed we stay at the first floor instead of the 3th ... which she had prepared and we had the opportunity to check it ...

Every thing the smallest one she was able to help us ... starting with an umbrella when she check and see in the morning it was raining !!!

The hotel is good enough for this type of hotel and the care helped a lot.

The breakfast was also good and again served with care.

Le Chateau de Pierre is as much a small boutique hotel as a Bed and Breakfast. It has fourteen guest rooms and a finished basement area with tables for breakfast seating. The location is great, being on a relatively quiet side street but only a short walk to the major sites. You can park in front to unload, and then park overnight in an underground parking garage about a block and a half away. The hotel has parking arrangements with the garage. They give you a garage key card if you need it and add the charge (roughly $20 a day) to your bill upon checkout. There's no markup over the garage rate, and it's convenient not having to figure out what to do with your car yourself since long-term parking is limited. The host couple is very helpful with any questions regarding getting around.

Our room was a front-facing "small queen" room with private bath on the (third) floor. Despite being front-facing it was fairly quiet throughout the night. The room and bath were of adequate size, though we were glad in the shower that we're not large people. Minor negatives were the lack of individual climate control in the room and an "old" smell. Then again, it's a house from the late 1800s that has maintained much of it's original character, which is pretty cool. The mattress and bedding were comfortable, the room was clean, and we slept well. The breakfast was a cut above what you get included at the typical chain hotel, though with 14 rooms the choices are standardized (i.e., take what you want from what's out). We were very satisfied with our stay.

The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. All of my questions were thoroughly answered and they genuinely care about their guests. The location was great. There is a parking garage you need to park in nearby that is a 22 charge, but a cheap parking garage for the area (24 hours). I certainly recommend this to anyone. Myself and my boyfriend are 25 and we had a great time there. The breakfast was very good. It was all cold food, but if you are looking to have a heavy breakfast there are a lot of options right down the street. The fridge is located on the second floor, and not in each room so pack accordingly. We went for the winter carnival and the location was great. All in all a great stay and I have no complaints.

Room Tip: don't bring many refrigerated items- they only have a small fridge the guests share on the secon...
