“What a cozy and nice place to stay !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2006

Browsing on my internet came accross this beautiful and charming hotel. I found the web site thru Google (-). Just by reading the information and description very professionnal. We then decided to book our vacation directly thru the web site. Booking system is very convenient, and the room was exactly what we expected when we checked-in. Staff was very professionnal and friendly, we really enjoyed warm welcoming and professionnal service. Location is great, very close to the main points of interests of Old City and very quiet at night. Even if not the most luxurious place in town, it is very comfortable (bed, furnitures, temperature in the room) and charming (brick walls, lot of character) and rates are very competitive (139$ including full breakfast !). Breakfast at Le Péché Véniel (same building as the Hotel) was delicious. I recommend this hotel all the way to anyone who wants to spend a few nights in this wonderful city.

I've stayed in Quebec City several times and found the st-paul Okay. The best things is it's location close to the harbour market. A lot of local and regional produce allowing you to eat healthy while traveling without needing find a good and often expensive restaurant.

The reservations system at the hotel seem confuse the staff. The suite we reserved and secured with a credit card was not available and we were given, without any reduction on the room rate, a dark standard room with king bed. With a young child we preferred a suite with a queen bed and foldout sofa bed. However as the reception staff told us - "Do you plan on spending a lot of time in the room?" Since we were planning to visit the beautiful city his point was well taken. If you are looking for accomodations to rest at in between your site seeing this may not be the best place for you.

At the same cost and for a similar location other hotels in the city offer better value.

I stayed in this beautiful hotel in June with one of my friends. It was a very enjoyable stay. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. One of the front desk clerks had a so charming accent, it was delightful. Room was very comfortable and quiet at night, charming atmosphere. We didn't need our car during our stay, because everything was walking distance, and parking is very convenient, close to the hotel. We really enjoyed staying in a small hotel like this (27 rooms) compare to bigger hotels.

Thanks to all this wonderful team there at Le Saint-Paul ! See you next time !

The rooms were small, dark and stains on the furniture. The people at the front desk was not helpful, did not speak english. Do not recommend this hotel for your stay. Stayed in October, 2005.

My boyfriend and I just got home from a wonderful trip to Quebec City. We really enjoyed our stay at Le Saint-Paul. The staff were warm, friendly and accomodating. We were amazed at how perfectly situated this hotel was! The location really couldn't have been better. We were within a short walk from the best shopping districts, fabulous restaurants (we went to several in the area and they were all fantastic!), historical sites and the river. We really lucked out with this place. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. When we arrived we were even offered an executive suite at no additional cost, which was an upgrade from the standard room that we had originally booked. The hotel restaurant served a sumptious breakfast each morning with a variety of choices to please your palate. Our only complaint is that the heat wasn't working too well and it got a bit chilly at night. A fairly minor concern considering how wonderful it was otherwise. Overall, a terrific place and a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely stay at Hotel Le Saint-Paul again if I were to make another visit to this lovely city.

Excellent experience, terrific value for this charming hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful at checkin. Parking was conveniently located in lot across the street for $11 CAN a day. Room was clean and comfortable with cable television and pleasant decor. A boot tray inside the door was a nice touch during winter. We stayed on the third floor with a view of the cannons on top of the city walls. An easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go in Old Quebec. Also convenient to major highways. I would absolutely stay here again. Restaurant on first floor has excellent food and is open at 7am for breakfast. Coffee and crepes are to die for.

This was our first trip to Quebec, which was hastily thrown together after Hurricane Ivan forced a change of plans.

Hotel St.Paul seems to have been recently renovated, and the hotel was appealing and clean. It was situated within walking distance of most of the popular attractions.

The positives far outweigh the negatives. The room was reasonably priced, the staff was helpful without exception, the restaurant in the hotel was great, parking was convenient, and the place was very well maintained. We also had free wireless internet available to us, which was a pleasant surprise given that its not advertised.

The room was somewhat small, and wasn't as well soundproofed as it might have been. But because the hotel isn't large, this was not much of an issue.

Again, great value. And our trip was perfect. If we return anytime soon, we would definitely return to this hotel.
